encoded with the codex, it could be:

J2PKPH0P1VQVWOOUUQ

or

J2PKWH0P1VQVWOOUUQ

depending on if that's a 0 or an O.

@Bruce - just posting them. Sad how much time do we have left?

After re-reading the tweet from EYE (at AUZ505's suggestion), I'm beginning to think we have until the 30th.

Thank you.
This sort of stuff (which you found through the decompiled flash file, but can be found directly through the page) is very good to post.
It lets us confirm what we thought was displayed on screen for certain, without dropping off in areas that might be considered cheating.

I worked a bit with the codex image last night but could not find anything that worked.

One thing is that (iirc) the letters in the new image can be *encoded* using the knight moves, but cannot be the *decoded* with it (some of the letters in the image cannot be the decoded version of other letters).

I also tried subtracting from the letters in the image all the capitalized letters from the background message (including 'Y' from the letter of words) but that lead me to more than 4 letters.

Right now I think there's so many vague points...
"ABBA" is 4 letters or 2 ?
Are we to find 4 letters and then use them to build a word (that might be longer than 4 words), or a 4-lertter word? Could the 4-letter word be made up of less than 4 unique letters?
Which URL are we targeting (/index.asp?crack= or CTS/crackthesafe.asp?crack= ) ?
"There's another way".. other than the CTS page? Other than the index page?

Darn work keeping me busy

Ah, yeah Cowabella.. that was needed early today (see Crack The Safe thread).

Thanks for posting (we had not found it till EYE told us to check out Dante's MySpace!).

So many threads > I'm totally confused
(Also because if each puzzle gets its own thread.. the main thread would die? I'm getting attached to this thread!)

It kinda makes me not watch the game as closely but I'm just a rookie so maybe multiple threads does make it easier to follow for experienced players. I am sooo lost now, I can't keep up. I'm just gonna try and lurk now. You guys are doing a great job!

Congrats to your 100th post Smile
Please do not stop playing with us. Yesterday really a lot of things happened, which made it hard for everyone to follow.
Several posts made here would have been better posted in the crack the safe thread, which made it even more difficult to follow.

But now we cracked the safe (which means there should not be thant many posts in the CTS track) and found a new link. So actual discussions regarding this new puzzle and mystery should be easy to follow by reading the thread here

um how do you mean in your feeds? soz, bit slowigglesquish!! um as an art student though, I can say that thats fairly typical of fairey's work, he made the obama posters, and he often works in the style of propaganda, and I imagine the red star is more of a response to the tate modern exhibition of red star over russia and the russian propaganda artists that anything wierd.... theres a whole series of 'obey' posters, including obey elephant but could be someone implying has to do with the e.y.e thing?

I have the OMGPosters RSS Feed in my Google Reader, that's all.

Oh no, I didn't mean to imply this was connected to our ARG.. just figured it was funny for it to show up in my feeds as we struggle with EYE's twists Smile

so typical of fairey as to attract criticism from some quarters of being...stale? <gasp>

just a big coinkydink - but when you deal in significant symbols, like the all seeing EYE, then the links turn up everywhere Smile

maybe someone needs to buy a copy to check for small print tho just in case lol and on the plus side i think it's a good piece.

Ok, tried to update the wiki. Hope I did not miss anything important.

I also tried to make a short recap of the events that happened in the last few hours: http://tso.wikidot.com/events-15-16

Since it could be important who of us is suspected to be a mole and who not, another page to collect this information: http://tso.wikidot.com/moles
