Silver Clue

I'm stuck with my Silver (like really stuck, it won"t move much where I'm at). There is supposed to be a clue somewhere on the RevoMaze web site but I can't find it. Anyone know where to look for the clue?

Silver clue...

Hi lost memory - I don't think the website clue will help you 'there'... spend some time trying different things (really different things!) and I'm sure you'll find some more stuff to do 'there'... Cool

Nobody said the silver was easy...in fact everyone seems agreed it's rather brutal!

cheers

How do you get around the reset that wraps all the way around the silver version? I've found 3 ways to get to it but I can't get out of it except to start over. I'm beginning to think mine is broken. . Can anyone help? Please PM if you don't want to post here.

I can assure you its not broken. I will make you the offer i make all my SW puzzle friends, if you truely think its broken, send it to me, i will prove otherwise or confirm its broken and send it back. however it sounds like you are in a spot we have all spent way, way to many hours in. most of us here are on the Revomaze forum. i think you will find more help there than you will here. If you dont have over 100 hours in on the puzzle, its not broken. lol. what other puzzles/revomazes do you own?

so I want one so bad, my question is do I buy the 4 pack of the plastic ones for the same price I can get a metal one for? I want them all but cant afford more than one metal one for the most part.

@streetz

...I think it's a personal taste thing...if you get most of your pleasure from solving the puzzle, then the obsessions will do you just fine as the mazes are the same as on the extremes...if you want something that looks excellent on a shelf with some other puzzles, then you can't beat the extremes...

On a personal note, what I've enjoyed most of all was opening up the extremes and seeing the maze for the first time after you've spent hours / days / months solving them... you can't open the obsessions (without destroying them in the process, so you never get to see the mazes).

...if you prefer the really tough puzzles, then extreme will really be the only alternative...'cos Bronze and Silver aren't available in the obsession range...

[FWIW I have a set of both, I find the obsessions are a bit less intimidating when letting others have a go at them for the first time because they're lighter...]

YMMV, etc... it really is a taste thing...

if it comes down to funds.... buy the obsession set. production and sales on the red obsession is going to end here soo and probably without much notice. I wouldnt hesitate on this.

The harder metal puzzles are not available in plastic forms, but i'm not certain it'll always be that way. and some of them, like the red, will only have 250 metal puzzles.

Like stated above, it really comes down to taste, desire, and purpose...

thanks for the responses, its a tough choice. Especially since in the US. the prices for shipping and the conversion is pretty expensive. The GBP is actually going downhill for once in terms of conversion so im thinking now is the time to buy.

My whole thing is I want them all. because I see on the site it works you up to the harder ones. I see the silver and bronze add new features the green and blue dont have. I also dont wanna just buy a silver one and be stuck on the maze forever because im not used to it.

So thats why im thinking maybe the whole set of plastics, and then in the future silver/gold after im familiar. Im sure the 4 piece set will keep me busy for a while, at least im assuming.

Or should I just buy the red metal one? because its limited and is kinda in the middle of difficulties??

first puzzle

I dont care what puzzle you buy, you're gonna get hooked. which is why i think everyone should start with blue or green. just doing those two will show you haow evil chris is.

if red metal is anything like red plastic, it might be a great place to start, but do know that only about 2 people have opened it. i havent. i'm thinking its not technically difficult, i think its mentally difficult. sometimes thinking outside the box is a lot harder than you think.

i think you'll have time to purchase the red. i'd buy the obsession set and prepare to buy that red LE if you get hooked and thats the first metal puzzle you want.

Revomaze = success
What an awesome puzzle!

I just bought the Green Revomaze (Level 2), skipping the Blue one, and I absolutely love it. What a great puzzle! It feels sturdy, it was a challenge to solve, and I'm really enjoying solving it over and over again. I'm really looking forward to getting more of these. Hopefully I'll be getting the Silver soon, maybe even pre-ordering the Gold.

To anyone puzzler who has not tried them out: I was in your shoes a week ago. I stumbled across the Revomaze while researching the Isis, and I can't tell you how glad I am that I did. I highly recommend you give it a go.

James

well I was about to order on the 4th of july, the set of 4 obsessions so I could have the red, then I said well ill wait a week cause I really dont have the funds. and now the red is gone Sad

So next time I wont hesitate, however my girlfriend said for my b day (aug) she will pick up whichever one I want, so im gonna try and collect them all. I think imma order blue and green at the same time, then preorder gold, and buy bronze and silver in the near future.

Damn these things are addictive!!!

I ordered the Blue metal one and the Black plastic one. My god. A couple of hours into the Blue i knew i was hooked. Hours after I solved the Blue, before I'd even moved onto the Black (which I still haven't opened yet) I was back on http://www.revomaze.co.uk/ ordering .... a few .... more.

I ordered my first Revomaze a few weeks ago. I now have Shocked 14 Revomazes owned/ordered. Embarassed Laughing I warn you all stay away, stay far away!!! You will never be the same again!!

Edit: Make that 15 Dunno

Chris Pitt did used to work for SonicWarp. To be honest I didn't know he left. He joined up with SW on the NKryptor puzzle with me a while after I started working for SW. Then I got cut out and don't know what happened since. Good luck to him, he was a nice guy. I don't know if he was officially ever employed by SW, but at the time he was the same as me and officially a contractor/consultant to them.

I assume he, like everyone else who's worked for SonicWarp, had his fingers burnt.....

I'm interested in the Revomaze, but from a professional point of view Wink
