That kid looks really familiar to me too, but it might be because he has hair like Rekidk? That thing looks like a large mezuzah with no torah portion inside. I am sure it is supposed to be a reactor or something though.

Hey Adam,
That is indeed a strange object. Do you happen to have a lab (university/college) nearby where you could take a closer look at it? My biggest concerns are that it might be radioactive or have other properties that might be damaging to your health.

I thought it was rekidk at first too, until I heard him talk.

Yeah the voice gave it away for me too that it wasn't him.

this looks like fun. here's my email:

Hey Adam,
I just watched your video and that thing you found is really fascinating. If I could point out a few things about it and ask a couple of questions:
1. It doesn't seem to interfere with the sound recorded in any way. This is odd, because the "symptoms" seem to be similar to those exhibited when you use a magnet near electronics. However, if that object had magnetic qualities, it would "corrupt" the recorded sound as well as the video.
2. Do the etchings appear to be in some kind of language? The style of metalworking appears to be of Eastern persuasion.
3. Does it have any moving parts? It looks somewhat like a puzzle box of some kind.
How are your drawing skills? If you could draw it and send me the sketch, I have some friends who might be able to provide information.
Thanks for your time,
Chris

Searched for an Adam Kidde on facebook, myspace, twitter.....came up with nothing. Though it still might be a bit early, as we have not even established a real plot line here.

Awesome! More info is good info at this point.
Though it freaks me out a bit that Adam looks very much like my little brother.

Hello Adam,
I've seen your video in youtube, and, wow, thats really strange.
Have u tried some tests over that object? The object seems to be wrapped by some kind of field...
Try this:
-give it some electricity (be carefull). Film it. Start with 9v... try some 110v.
-Film the object while you put it close to some ferromagnetic object (back side of a car speaker, for example).
-Put the object underwater and film it (inside a glass for example).
-Give the object some pressure with a clamp... Film it.
Watch the videos... post the results!
I hope this help...
Best regards,
Victor Sueiro
Now waiting...

Good ideas, Javier. I'll need some time to get the materials together, but I'll definitely work on trying some of these. Keep your eyes peeled.

Got a reply back

I found it a couple of yards away from the edge of the sidewalk, near some woods, just laying on the grass. My dog didn't seem to react to it, but she didn't get too close to it. I picked it up, looked for a little bit, and put it in my pocket because she wanted to keep walking. But neither of my dogs have acted oddly recently, for what it's worth.
I'm working on sketching it freehand for now, and perhaps if I can find some Play-Doh or something I can try to imprint roll it.

New post at his blog. He finally managed to make a scan of the object.

*scratches head*
Now that he's got the scan up, I'm sure I've run across something like that somewhere. I don't remember it messing with electronic equipment, but for some reason it seems familiar. Darn my foggy weekend brain
