This is fascinating. I loved the movie Donnie Darko and have taken the time to catch up on this one. I may even now have to register because I think I'm going to be hooked. Okay, there are a few things that have not been mentioned that probably should as it relates to Donnie/Adam and the Tangent Universe.

Alright... so I am of course new to this, if you couldn't already tell from My username... But I have a few suggestions... seeing as this thread is basically dead... which is a shame, because it looked to me like you all were so close to solving this... But I'm just going to throw my 2 cents into it.

Well for starters this thread started with a email sent to someones arg inbox, and to understand what it said they had to decipher it using the Vigenere cipher with the key word curious. Well my first question is, why would they have you decipher something with a certain cipher, and only have you use the cipher once... Why not implement the cipher into the arg itself. And as I was looking at adams blogspot, the "jibberish" seemed to resemble the beginning website that had to be deciphered with said cipher. So to me I still feel that there is still some work to be done with the Vigenere cipher. But I could be wrong.

Another thing that was constantly leaping out at me was "curious" 1. it was the key phrase used to decipher the website in the beginning. But it felt to me like it was used really often with adam, in his audio he talked about just being curious. So I felt like once again, the stuff in the beginning message was just forgotten and thought of as a one time use type of thing.

Alright I will stop rambling on now, keep me posted with updates, and I will try all that I can on adam's website to decode it.
