good idea, Relia. worth a try. did you ever actually damage the CDF other than taking it off the base? thinking not, but this wasn't clear from the two simultaneous threads when that was all going on...

The CDF currently exists in four pieces which have been neatly separated:

- The turkey figurehead, majestic and golden, with a bolt sticking out the bottom (not able to be removed)
- The marble base, with the word "uh-oh" glued to it
- The nut (removed from the bolt in disassembly of the CDF)
- The golden placard, bearing the words "CHAMPION DYNASTY FUND" centered, each on its own line

Otherwise I haven't yet damaged it beyond repaid, for fear of killing our beloved Milwaukee citizens. I'm still not sure if Chuck's Twitter was an indication that I SHOULD shatter the artifact, or that, if I did, all I'd have was heartache and a shattered artifact.

ah, Ok. this is what i was kinda thinking. i think you made a prudent decision there. i still think taking a picture and posting the dismembered bird is a really good idea at this point. see if we can get a rise out of Chuck, Mars, and company today at least. if you want to post a pic here, i can also post it to Mars and Lipps' walls on Facebook if you like. maybe also to the young professionals group there as well.

so close to getting this thing going again, and yet so far...

Rumors of bad luck and catastrophe are sweeping Milwaukee. I must once again don my detective's cap and get to the heart of this matter.

Looks like we can rest easy. Great Detective Jagoda is on the case!

No, I think he may in fact be saying he wants me to break open the Fund. Sad

Chuck, ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE SURE?

HE COULD JUST AS EASILY BE SAYING THAT YOU SHOULDN'T!

the rumors could be related to you contemplating this course. hang tight with smashing the CDF, Relia! this could also have to do with the ladders and black cats as well. of course, these could have all appeared when you dismantled the CDF.

I know I haven't posted much lately, but I think he is hinting at smashing it. Rumors of a catastrophe, get to the "heart" of it.... yeah... I'm kinda thinking maybe we need to get to the "heart" of the turkey... Sad

Edit: Haven't posted much at all. Rolling Eyes

i like this idea, robblatt. see if the re-assembled bird soothes their feathers in Milwaukee and halts the troubles. great plan imho. Relia, you could always smash it if things get worse...

this may be stupid but... perhaps holding a stethoscope up to it? i mean it has a "heart" right? maby it "beats" (i.e. a clock or something inside) or maby try putting it under watter and seeing if it moves like an analog pump.

just offering the obsurd before ya smash the thing -_-
