possible idea for missing dollar from central park meetup?

I don't remember if any dollars were scanned in but seem to remember there being some serial numbers of some of the bills added to the forum somewhere, though I can't find them.

The #42 was obviously picked for the missing number, it wasn't random. I think we might have overlooked it's importance...

Someone who remembers or has the missing bill's serial number, think you could check the bill out at http://www.wheresgeorge.com/? Maybe the missing bill was added to their database with some sort of clue or comment...

well, i was partly right Wink the bill is in the system, but there are no clues pointing anywhere. it looks like the PMs are watching VERY closely though, because the bill was entered 4 minutes prior to me finding it in the database. lol. it is from milwaukee, too Razz

Did you check years other than 2006 to see if it came up with anything? I do think the bill could be important in some way and it's good that you brought it up again.

Hi there - I've been lurking here for a little while now - then recently I registered so I could lurk more efficiently... Wink

Anyway, I've been doing Where's George for almost 9 years now, so I just wanted to note a few things: There's actually a way to check if a bill is in the database without entering it on the site; I checked that serial number in all likely series dates, and came up with nothing; and if the bills from the Central Park adventure were all sequential, then this bill would have had the same series date as all the other bills in that bundle.

Technically, entering a bill you don't have in your possession, in a zip code where you are not currently located, is a violation of the rules of WG. We should really have that erroneous bill entry deleted (I am, at the very least, going to tell the site admin what's going on with that bill). If y'all want me to keep an eye out for that bill to really pop up on WG, I can do that - but honestly, I do not think it's relevant to TIMM anymore.

Thank you! I didn't know it would officially enter it, then I wasn't registered so I couldn't delete it. Embarassed
