Ok, just a couple quick questions, hopefully you check back in.

So, collaboration is alright, that is understandable. But as for multiple answers, are you referring to emails with multiple answers for a single mission or referring to the fact if the answers are posted here people would send that answer regardless of what mission they are on?

But, with the latter comment, are you saying that we can post some of the recon we have collected here?

I'm just trying to find out so I don't wind up violating the rules for it.

Collaboration is fine. What we are trying to avoid are people submitting multiple times using different email addresses and names to increase their chances of winning the prize. We are trying to make this as fair as possible to all platers.

And, yes, this is a competition. So collaboration is up to the individual player. There is one prize at the end and one winner, so bear that in mind.

Hey BOOM! Studios here (sponsor of the ARG). We should have been clearer in the rules. We just want to avoid players turning in multiple answers.

Collaboration is perfectly fine. If you want to post on a message board like this, you are not in violations of the rules. The Wolfpack encourages cooperation - after all, The STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS THE PACK.

Thanks so much for signing up. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Ummm...am I the only one who is gonna say this? PM posting (sponsor's included) is a TOS violation. Might want to rethink posting here again or your IP might get blocked. I think that's how they do it anyway...
This looks like an interesting game and I'm sure you didn't know so...now you do. Game on!

I was going to say something, but they are not really influencing the game or jump-starting it, just trying to clear up some confusion.

Mission One
w/ answers behind spoiler cuts

Quote:
ATTENTION: TIP (TALENT IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM) TRAINEE
FROM: DEPUTY DIRECTOR, OSIG OPERATIONS
CC: TIP INSTRUCTORS; LIASON, CLIENT 90046

Your first (of three) OSIG (Open Source Intelligence Gathering) assignments is here.

Shortly after September 11th, our government formed a series of Think Tanks where participants from a variety of fields were asked to imagine highly detailed "worst case" terror scenarios. They were told that if the U.S. and its allies had such blueprints for terror, we could devise defenses against such attacks before our terrorist enemies even thought of them.

One of our clients, who shall remain nameless, believes one or more of these individuals may harbor hostile intent towards them. The fact that they may have access to terror scenarios makes them extremely dangerous.

We have reason to believe that some of the participants are continuing to communicate after their participation in their Think Tank. We need to gauge their motives and assess their ability to harm our client.

Our client has presented The Wolfpack with extremely limited intelligence on these individuals. We don't know who they are. We only know they are using brief code words to communicate, along with a number we believe refers to the time of day for a meeting. We only possess a fragment of the code word. CODE WORD FRAGMENT: Krammada.

It is essential that you identify three of these individuals by sending The Wolfpack their NAMES, THE FULL CODE WORD and the MEETING TIME in an E-MAIL TO THIS ADDRESS. You may only send one e-mail to The Wolfpack during this mission. Make it count.

In order to advance in T.I.P. and stay in contention for a future position within the Wolfpack, you must complete this mission by no later than 11:59 PM Pacific Time on Sunday March 15th, 2009. That is the date we will be ready to implement the next phase of this security operation. Shortly after, a second mission will follow.

With this and any mission, we DEMAND that you act within the boundaries of all civil and criminal law: local, state, Federal, and International. Secrecy is of the utmost importance. DO NOT attempt to contact the individuals under any circumstances.

However, we not only condone but encourage cooperation. After all:

THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS THE PACK!

Full code word, from the peak oil blog, is

This was much too easy, unless I am completely mistaken (wouldn't be the first time). I do hope they up the ante for round 2.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Now why give the answers when the fun is in the hunt. All three of the people are easily found with the code word fragment.

Interesting -- I stopped looking after I found the third member. Cool that we have four of them identified.
