New puzzle

Another riddle:

http://www.gunspiracy.com/quote.asp

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
reversed it reads:

the end of wisdom is to dream high enough not to lose the dream in the seeking of it

Which is a william faulkner quote....but it's not accepting william faulkner, faulkner...trying to find the source for it.

BTW, am I the only one that tried to send an email to dweishauptSPLATpharmement.info ? I'm getting "Delivery Status Notification (Delay)" messages back - at least for now.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to drop a quick message to say I'm in!

Got an email from Henry ages ago and sent an email to haxhoax, yesterday got a reply from Dave (nothing exciting), but that got me to Gunspiracy.

They're big on their weapon puns hey.

morning all!

or actually, it's just flipped into afternoon - late night Smile

hi tim welcome aboard, that explains who the mystery person was that linked to me on twitter!! good to have another midlander involved Smile

olorin - i emailed everyone i could lol but the dweishaupt email just bounced back, i guess it is just a way to hide the .info site for pharmament early on.

have sent off the answer to puzzle 2, and will await the next message from dave. good to see a literary bent to the answer, as i am not the worlds greatest code breaker but i do know books Smile

Very Happy

Actually, I'm just jealous.

Anyways, yeah I sent the second puzzle solution in earlier on. I expect we'll get a twitter message at some point and a third puzzle later on.

One of the reasons I'm here is to just make sure this doesn't happen to be part of the other ARG I'm following (TSO) sicne we had that IP address connection early on.
That being said... so far it doesn't seem related.

I hope this will evolve past the quick one-step puzzles we've got so far. The whole Pharmament and its Happiness potion storyline sure sounded intriguing. Hopefully we'll see some movement from Pharmament int he near future.

And finally.. I wonder if the connection to world of warcraft will run deeper (I hope not, tbh, since I manage to quit that game a while back and don't plan to go back.. so if there was any in-WOW event related to this ARG I'd be missing in on the fun Sad )

i have a feeling that the 3 puzzles to unlock the blog are just a hook to draw us in before the tricky stuff arrives. everything has been fairly relaxed and straight forward so far but the whole Happiness story line is waiting. if they send us bottles of that stuff, is anyone going to drink it?? lol might be a little too 'alice in wonderland'...

i think at this point that the pharmament arc is totally separate from the other thing. am hoping so as i haven't got in at the very beginning on something before, so am looking forward to how this goes.

will keep an eye out for twittering later this afternoon, 3rd ones the charm...

andy

When I get home, i will start following on twitter..

There is some talk about this being connected with another game?? The only reasons for that assumption (I hate that word, i swear) is just the IP address right? We dont have any evidence pointing and saying they are linked right?

I'm following the Twitter accounts of Pharmament and Gunspiracy, and I sent off my solution to the second puzzle early this morning. So I guess I'm in and no longer lurking. Smile

EDIT: Last puzzle is on the Gunspiracy site:

Yes, aside from the matching IP address (which I haven't checked lately) there is nothing else linking Pharmamed and TSO (the other game in question).

This type of puzzle reminds me of another game I played called Project ophiuchus.

Both are hosted at GoDaddy (secureserver.net), so they share the IP address with several hundred other sites.

The page includes a single image with the following text:
Quote:

Benjamin
00000
3TimesA4
number 5

a textbox and a "Try (again)" button to submit. Whatever you submit is added as URL argument so yo can have fun from the URl bar:
http://gunspiracy.com/peaceofmind.asp?decode=norightansweryet

no solution yet.. but some info:

"Benjamin" ==> Franklin ? on the $100 bill ?

"00000" ==> I think those are digits (zero) rather than letters (o), I'd guess it might indicate that the answer is 5 digits ?

"3TimesA4" ==> A4 is an Audi.. or a company producing sportswear/merchandise (http://www.a4.com).. or a paper format (Wikipedia.
If it is a reference to the paper size.. A4 = 210 × 297 (mm)
A4 is half A3
A3 is half A2
A2 is half A1
A1 is '3 times' A4 ?
A1 = 841 × 1189 (mm)

"number 5" ==> anothe rhint that the answer is a number composed of 5 digits ?

..oh and how do they tie with the page title ? "Peace of mind" ?
