Raw Number Sequences

these are raw number sequences for other possible combinations (meaning i added one to each letters' number in order to give the sum needed to make it)

RAPTURE - 19,2,17,21,22,19,6

LUTWIDGE - 13,22,21,24,5,8,6

the right word might not be eight letters...we had tens keys to the piano, yet we only used 6 of them...

None of those answers fall in line with the riddles though. It's obviously a sea creature of some sort, we just have to figure out which one. As with most riddles, I'm certain the answer is hidden in the wording, just have to ferret it out...

it's 8 letters long because of the word on the right side. there are 8 spaces. Oh wait, you could be right... we might not have to use all 8 spaces. I see. though i can't think of any words less that 8 letters long that have to do with the ocean and greek mythology... wow. I'm going to make my skull burst with intel.

Sea Slug perchance? I know its not really related to Greek, but that is what was implanted in the Little Sisters...

... what's a phronima? I'll look it up. could you by chance tell of the pattern?

Edit: Phronima has a double meaning. Not only is it a small translucent shrimp found at the bottom of the ocean, but it is also a Greek theological journal. That's the only connections I could find. Bet we'll find out something about it next week. Good thing we love to cheat!

As was mentioned, some quick thinkers at the 2K forums got the answer:
The solution is PHRONIMA (wikipedia)
You can use this key to decode those symbols: http://i29.tinypic.com/20kykxg.jpg

You have to match up pairs of symbols so that the resulting letter is p,h,r and so on

Courtesy of CaptainRye over on 2K Forums:

Quote:
Just input PHRONIMA like this:

make the first two letters equal 15
the second two equal 7
the third pair equals 17
the fourth pair equals 14
the fifth pair equals 13
the sixth pair equals 8
the seventh pair equals 12
the eighth pair equals 0 (Zero)
