Yessir - x & y are combined.

hmm... reminds me of a grid. like math. I hope we don't have to do math. :/ maybe x and y refers to chromosomes? hmm. or maybe they just put two letters together so they could make a perfect square and not have one left over.

So I've been working on this a little and I thought i'd share what I found.

1. Rereading chapter 8, all of the knights questions are answered, but his in song he repeatedly doesn't listen to the answer, so i think the password is somewhere in here.

2. In the book, he refers to the song with many different names, saying it's name is called HADDOCKS EYES it's name really is THE AGED AGED MAN, the song is called WAYS AND MEANS, and the song really is A-SITTING ON A GATE.

3. Lewis Carrol published this poem anonymously earlier, except it was called UPON THE LONELY MOORE. There are a few differences between the two poems.

4. Alice recognizes the tune of the song as I GIVE THEE ALL, I CAN NO MORE. On wikipedia clicking the link to this song brings you to MY HEART AND LUTE. This song was written by the Irish poet THOMAS MOORE who died in 1852 and whose works are inside our timeframe.

Ok I thinks that's everything. Everything in caps are words I've tried but I encourage you to double check me.

Keep all of those in mind - we discussed a few pages earlier that we may need to wait for an update to the flash itself before the next puzzle unlocks. Great deductions - I wouldn't be surprised if any of them were the 'next' answer!

FINALLY. An update.

I get to contribute instead of just sitting around and reading.

There is a new letter by the front door, with O.O.L. demanding how to get to Rapture from Mr. R.

Per Mark's deductions, it looks like Lutwidge had a round about idea of where it was, but no specific coordinates.

Okay, I think the new letter from OOL may play a part in the puzzle. This may be a longshot theory but if Meltzer is basically Alice going through her journey, OOL might see himself as the white knight, and in his letter he asks for the coordinates to Rapture. In the book about the frozen triangle on Mark's desk, there is a paragraph circled detailing the three coordinate pairs that bind the triangle. I feel that these points will somehow play into the riddle.

The White Knight kept asking a question, each time receiving an answer but not the answer. If Lutwidge sees himself as the White Knight, than that would mean the White Knight's question isn't one from the novel, it's Where is Rapture? He keeps asking, keeps getting answers, but not the answer he needs (the coordinates).[/i]
