Also, I think I might have been heading in the wrong direction with Vincent Raven. The description of the missing USAF B47 Skytrain seems to fit even better. It's also in the same list as the Baldur. The only problem is that there is no actual info on it anywhere on the internet. So my guess is that this one is made up by 2k like the Baldur riddle. Which means that we wait until the site updates with the info that we need.

Anyone here get a letter from Phil over the weekend? Some folks over on the 2k forums did.

Congrats Robbie! Very cool!!! To all of you who received them, you might want to go hang a few copies up around town to see if the 2K folks are watching, and maybe procure some more treasure!!

Also Robbie, I am with you, riding the bench watching you crazy code-breakers hit it. Much more of the literary reference guy for sure! Great job to everyone pouring through all of this - go team!

For the sake of the forum, when quoting someone, please don't quote something like the picture of the letter. It takes up way too much damn space. Especially when it's already on the previous page.

Fixed - thought I deleted it and didn't check the post. My bad, and thanks!

Lol. No worries bro. It's happened a lot in the 2K forum from what I've seen just browsing. It gets too freaking much... Any update on the puzzle?

So, they want to get us to read the promotional material. I guess it makes sense, they don't want to limit the entire game to just the internet.

I also love the idea of putting up the pages from the book in public and sending in photos of them, that's really going to get attention for the game.

Off topic question here. I found this site after googling information about SitS, but I guess most of you were previous members who enjoy ARG's. This whole site is some of the craziest and coolest advertising I've ever seen, so my question is, how does SitS compare in quality to other ARG's you guys have followed / are following?

Honestly, I dunno. I found this forum trying to get info on how to solve the puzzles. I originally found this site when it was still a wee little bulletin board. When I came back and saw how it had grown, I was stunned. This is the first time I've ever seen/done anything like this.

My first introduction to ARGs was the Cloverfield viral marketing (available in the archives on this forum). It was a flash site smaller than SitS (only one or two good puzzles) and a couple of other websites.

Something in the sea is far better in terms of the detail involved, and the length of time the campaign has been running, not to mention the player involvment. I mean they sent Rapture Records and splicer masks! Come on, nothing can top that.

New recording on Mark's desk. It's the Captain talking to him. Lynch's book is gone too. Also, some notes from Mark regarding his captain. He's an interesting guy, that's for damn sure...

My first ARG was Perplex City, and while few things measure up to Perplex City, There's Something In The Sea is absolutely amazing.

Lynch's book is in the new archive folder, with the papers from the last week (check the right-hand drawer).

And yes, the captain is a very interesting guy... I wonder what he knows.

[WILD SPEC]The captain is Lynch! He's been pulling our leg this whole time! Now he has Mark right where he wants him, with all the info to finally get to Rapture! The Red Pawn will have the last laugh![/WILD SPEC]

Actually, I wouldn't be too surprised if that's true.

On the other hand, it might be a little too obvious...

Still, that brings up the question of what Lynch intends to do in Rapture once he finds it. If he's going there to gain power and wealth etc., he's in for a bigger surprise than Mark is.

I don't know if this is relevant, but this link refers to a RB47H shot down by a MIG19 on July 1, 1960 130 miles North of the Kola peninsula in the Barents Sea. It departed from RAF Brize Norton. What caught my eye was the reference to the crewmen as the Ravens (ebon fowls, train=quatrain?)...
