Hah, thanks but I didn't get a letter... Crying or Very sad A couple of folks on 2k did and I just thought I would post the images here for those of you who aren't going back and forth between the two forums to check out.

Off topic question here. I found this site after googling information about SitS, but I guess most of you were previous members who enjoy ARG's. This whole site is some of the craziest and coolest advertising I've ever seen, so my question is, how does SitS compare in quality to other ARG's you guys have followed / are following?

I've played a ton of ARG's and to this day my favorite is still Why So Serious?, the campaign by 42E for the Dark Knight. If you guys think 2K has gone out of their way with mailed-out goodies, crazy puzzles and what not you should give that game a Google. It. Was. Intense. I also played a great game for Resistance 2 called Project Abraham that rocked pretty hard too. Technically I would consider all three of the above viral marketing though, as opposed to a true ARG.

I have played a lot of indie games too that, quite honestly, do a better job of maintaining TINAG than most of the corporate games simply because they aren't a really cool commercial for a pending product, if you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I've loved SitS and it has an amazingly deep and moving story that pulls you in, but its interface basically throws TINAG right out the window. It has been great fun nonetheless though and 2K has poured some serious love into it.

Sorry, I talk a lot...

The layer after the 5x5 has three codes you need to enter in sequence: The first one is NYDYDYEW, the second one is... I forget, it's mentioned earlier in this thread, but it's 20 characters long, and the third one we haven't figured out yet.

Oh that explains the click when I entered it in, I thought that it was the only code and I had it wrong, okay then.

UPDATE!

New recording on Mark's desk - an after dinner converstation with the ship's captain. Nice dream analogy (Sea of Dreams), not sure if it helps us along any. Also notes on the conversation right next to the tape.

Archive drawer is now active.

That it is Cataclysmic!

For those who care to compare maps have a gander!

I have labeled our sub in question, most of the other wrecks are also U-Boats of varying name and number. The wreckage leads to rapture! Very Happy [/img]

Just throwing this out there...

While this bit of information probably has nothing to do with the current riddle, I feel that I must mention that Ebon is an atoll in the Marshall Islands. In 1947 the Marshall Islands became a U.S. Trust Territory and from 1946 till 1958 there was Nuclear testing on the Bikini and Eniwetok Atolls. Now Bikini and Eniwetok are on the opposite end of the Ralik Chain of islands from Ebon but who knows it could be pertinent. Also I should mention that there are American military bases on Kwajalein that have been doing ballistic missile testing since the early 1960's.
Like I said already, I don't think is pertinent but rather be safe then sorry.

I'm pretty sure "Ebon" is supposed to be "ebony," but it couldn't hurt to check out. Thanks for the tip.
