Is it me or are the other wrecks "pointing the way"?

Didn't we learn in the opening sequence of the first game what the coordinates of the lighthouse are?

We solved that one already. The answer is "Ragnarsson."

Yeah, back in the early days of the 5x5 I did a lot of research into coordinate stuff and if I recall correctly the point from the opening scene is inside the coordinates binding the frozen triangle. On a separate note, Nellie Bly, for whom the ship Mark's on is named, was famous for faking insanity to study a mental institution from the inside. Sounds like someone we know. Probably irrelevant, but I just thought it was funny.

Nellie Bly also made a record-breaking trip around the world in 72 days, in 1889.

So, show of hands: Who thinks the captain is Lynch?

EDIT: I looked through the archives, and the handwriting on Lynch's notes doesn't match the captain's, but that doesn't mean anything, Lynch is a forger.

I can't remember where I read this but someone raised a good point about this. I'm going to put a spoiler tag on this just in case. The letter gave coordinates, but they aren't necessarily the coordinates of Rapture. They would be the coordinates at which
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Jack left his seat. He would have had to subdue the crew and gain control of the plane after that. By that time the plane would have been miles from those coordinates.
So the coordinates in the note are generally the location of Rapture, but not quite exact.

Um, I'm gonna go with Lynch is probably the Captain. Did Mark ever meet Lynch?

No, and Lynch's accent was fake (hilariously so), so we have to search by vocal tone.

I'm going to listen to the Captain's tape again. Could that be the same voice actor?

I've been doing a little research on my own, but I've been research certain planes in 1947, like the two B-29 Superfortress (Enola Gay) & (Bockscar) that dropped the two Atomic bombs, and also the Bell X-1 / Bell XS / Bell XS-1 (not sure which of the names is the right one) research plane, that broke the sound barrier, which was carried by a B-29 carrier, but another theory is about a reference to a C-47 Skytrain, in the "there's something in the sea; chronological timeline," that vanished in 1947. So what I think it has to do something about a plane, either about a bomb a plane carried or something a plane took off of that wasn't land bassed, like an airship carrier or another plane, but I like where you're going with the train idea hope to hear more. Foily! =P

Update: Mark is writing a note to Phil. He's got the info he needed from Phil's contacts, now he is waiting for his mail to be forwarded to him from Phil. Tomorrow (Mark's time) he arrives in Nassau in the Carribean.

That IS the long way.

It's the C47. Mark's got a copy of the Frozen Triangle book. It opens to Chapter 9. "The C-47 was a legendary workhorse for the United States Army Air Force during the Second World War. A heavy-duty transport plane, the fleet had moved tons of material and countless troops. Yet in 1947, a C-47 and its battle-seasoned pilots would encounter their strangest threat. From all accounts, they faced a final battle that neither they nor their crew would survive."
Any chance this couold be referring to a hurricane or storm that took out the C-47? It sounds like a wild shot even to me, but I dunno...

I think the answer to the latest riddle is where the C-47 that got lost in the Frozen Triangle departed from. "left this nest"

Someone is messing with Mark. His copy of Frozen Triangle has been vandalized. The first page of Chapter 9 has been torn in a way that the answer to the riddle is missing. "were set to depart from an airstrip in the coastal village of-"

No way that's a coincidence.

Huh. I thought Lynch wanted Mark to find Rapture... why would he rip the page like that?

If it's not Lynch, then who is it, and why?

Hmm... who's had access to the book besides Mark?
