a stock photo, huh? Yeah... I don't think there's any real meaning behind it.

ok, i don't want to know what you did in a dark alley to find that, but that's pretty neat.

hi guys new here as well. but ive been following the discussion since the opening of the lunch box.

i dont have too much to contribute at the moment seeing as how one or another of you have hit on most of the things ive noticed at some point throughout the discussion.

but seeing the stock photo of the rocks clears up that the spherical orb is just a gap in the rocks.

and also i had a thought, dont know if its relevant or right even, but what if the girls being abducted are daughters of the little sisters that were saved in the first game? just a thought.

maybe...but then meltzers wife would know whats going on instead of giving up hope...unless...meltzers kid was just abducted because she resembles the lil sistrs...i dont know then all the missing girls mothers would also know whats going on and then the missing children reports woud be pointless...

hey welcome

that would be quite a twist, and not entirely impossible, since children look like their parents...

my only argument is that it's only been 10 years since the first game. that would make the original little sisters about 15 to 18.

Little Sisters

I think the only little sister that's from the first game is the Big Sister.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It shows the other little sisters growing up with the main character of the first game at the end.

hey i'm also a little late into the game but i did start when the map was still the only thing on the site. I have sent my letter away as well so i'm here to join in on the fun. This ARG has me stoked because the first game was great and reading through the posts and finding that this might be from the same guys that did the TDK ARG i'm excited because i was with that one the whole way.

the only thing is that all the little sisters went up with him so unless there was a hiding one theres going to be an issue. Though the article about the game in Game Informer said that the Big Sister was someone who remembers the "good ol' days of Rapture"(not an exact quote but its the gist of it) so either it was being developed when Jack took down Rapture the first time or its a "what-if?" situation

Big sister

Big Sister is for sure a Little Sister. This is from an article that Wired did a while back: "The Big Daddies were the original BioShock's most terrifying enemies. What is there to terrify you when you are a Big Daddy? BioShock 2's answer is the Big Sister. She's a Little Sister that's come back to Rapture, 10 years later, for reasons unknown. And she doesn't like you messing with her plans. Whether you help or hurt her young charges, she'll eventually get angry and come and attack you."

(Read the whole thing here: http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2009/04/bioshock/)

The end of the first game
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
shows the Little Sisters growing up along with Jack. The ending if you save all the Little Sisters shows them holding hands with Jack at various points of their lives, like they have wedding rings and stuff. So we know that most of them go on to live happy lives. Bioshock two takes place 10 years after the first one, so the other Little Sisters are 16-19 at this point, but given that ending to the first game we can assume that the other Little Sisters are out of the picture. They all live normal (or semi-normal) lives.

this is also said in the XBL vids, G4 vids (on demand), and the Game Informer that i happen to have sitting in the living room.

they also confirm that your character in BS2 is the FIRST Big Daddy.

EDIT: as of 10am Central Time, i cannot get the page to load at the website. i think they are updating.

EDIT, Pt. 2: as of 10:30, i'm back in, with nothing new... yet. but the updates usually come around noon(ish) my time.
