now the endings all of them period SUCKED the good ending didnt bring a manly tear to my eye as the first one has a sence to do! the bad ending didnt have that sence of HOLY SHIT HES KILLED TEH LITTLE GRLS AND NUKED THE WRLD!!! as apposed to yup me und daddy are gonna kills some people!!! yay!!!! oh yea and as a final ball buster.... SOPHIA LAMB LIVES IN THE GOOOD ENDING!!!!

I think the biggest sting of Mark's fate was that we did it. I would be one thing to find his corpse with Sister!Cindy crying over him, or seeing Lamb execute him or drain him to be absorbed into the Collective Utopian. However, instead we see a Big Daddy with a Little Sister and we do what comes naturally, only to find that it was someone we knew well. Lamb is responsible for so SO much, but in the end we are the ones who ended Mark's journey, and that's what makes it so much more harsh.

Also, if you think about it, there's very very little difference between Delta and Mark. Both are men driven to find their children, to make sure that they are safe. However, the big difference is that Mark was ACTUALLY Cindy's daughter and Eleanor was just assigned to us. Any of the Alpha Series could have been in Delta's place, but there was only one Mark Meltzer. In many ways, Mark was a better Big Daddy than Delta could hope to be. Really, he was the best of all of us. After all, once Lamb caught him there were little options left for him.

Oh, and as a minor rebuttal to Tyrannteufel's commentary. Sparing Lamb is the whole point. Sophia believes that no human should make independent choices. That Free Will is an aberration that only causes people to serve the self at the cost of the rest of the world. Delta's actions have corrupted Eleanor in Sophia's eyes so that she is making her own decisions. Sophia Lamb's philosophy is that no individual can be good. Eleanor deciding to save her mother, despite all the awful things she has done, basically proves Sophia wrong in every conceivable way. It proves that people can be good, that mercy isn't something that comes from consensus and that Heroes exist. Killing her does feel satisfying, but I find this so much more rewarding.

Eleanor and Delta defied her, BROKE her, and now Sophia has nothing. I find that satisfying.

Course that's not to say I don't enjoy watching the bitch suffer as well. That's why you should save right before dealing with Grace/Henry/Gil.
