So this is now a change from the original story. BioShock had this plot element:

Quote:
Tennenbaum found that ADAM could be mass-produced by implanting the slugs in the stomachs of young girls, whom they took from orphanages.

Now it appears that Big Daddy is taking girls from their family home with the only undertone a physical resemblance as indicated by the notes. Certainly a change of Big Daddy's programming.

big daddy may be just frantically looking for the girls since in any of the ending scenarios they leave rapture. Though the figures described sound different from the other big daddys we have previously seen.

Kotaku covered some rumors of a "Big Sister"--female Big Daddys. Would explain the slender build, pink ribbon, and smaller feet. http://kotaku.com/5165836/big-sisters-stalk-onto-bioshock-2

I noticed that sounds 5-8 were much clearer than the others.
They appeared to be noises of someone sifting through papers
and its possible they're doing this while listening to a police
or coast guard radio.

Ok, so I read that article, and some of the comments...someone made a great point. Weren't Rosies in the first one female? If not, that's a really misleading name for a Big Daddy.

They're named Rosies since they've got rivet guns- Rosie the Riveter and all that. The gender wasn't really the important part.

The original designs for BioShock had a number of different Big Daddy models--all but two (Rosie and Bouncer) got cut during development. I'll see if I can find links to the pre-production images.

edit: Found a few. The changes were mostly to the weapons:http://www.1up.com/media?id=3041980&type=lg

somethinginthesea.com has been updated again. On the board there are 3 new news articles, a note connecting the incedents, and the advertisement found by Kotaku.

Updated again. New documents, nothing surprising.

Just adding to the point that little girls are being taken.

Same. This is starting to get increasingly less interesting.

This could just be leading up to a reveal at the GDC (Game Developer's Conference) this year. Might just be a prelude.
