well, this recent update/series of events blows all my assumptions to hell.

in any event, i have not yet recieved the record. perhaps my mailbox is too small, or they are slow (which is the most likely), or a number of other factors. i will wait, and if it still does not arrive, i will try to contact someone next week.

in the meantime, i am done with the presumptive nature i have with these games, now i will sit back and see what unfolds for Mark. he has realized that Rapture IS a real place, and now he is trying to figure out where it is.

random thought: has a release date been confirmed for the game?

Yeah, outside of North America people will get it October 30th. In North America we have to wait till November 3rd. Sucks for us North Americans.

thanks for the info. as of just now, i got my record. i have the same inscription as the rest, and is as follows:

11819-1352-7 (A) R-21815 M ((A SIDE))

11819-1352-7 (B) R-21816 M ((B SIDE))

the differences are bolded.

has anyone determined what the scratches are for? perhaps a record keeping system of some sort at Rapture, or by Mark? or Inman got a copy from some top secret archive?

feel free to discuss.

supposition: with the quality and complexity of the items they have sent and we have seen at the site, i am inquisitive as to the company putting on this game. it smells greatly of 42E, but if it is not, it surely impresses me.

Those numbers are scratched into the record.

Also, I wrote "rAi", but it could just as easily be "(A)".

So new updates for the day.... Lights on in the room, as well as record player.

Hey guys,

New to the forum, but have been following this site since day one (pointed over to this site via a friend). I was wondering if anybody who got the record in the mail upload some close-up shots of the scratches in the record?

Also, some interesting new things today that went overlooked:

-Lighting in the room changed
-White fedora on the table next to the door, lamp on table turned on
-Fan on the rug?
-More books added to chair
-New info regarding Lutwidge on desk

I don't really think any of these have too much impact on any new information, but just thought I'd chime in. I apologize if I'm repeating info.

I'm just waiting for that novel Lynch mentioned to pop up... and maybe a record in the mail for me? *fingers crossed* Don't think I'll know for a few more days though.

bioshock 2
has any one

has any one noticed that the view you look at the office from is the same as if you were looking out of a big daddy/sister helmet.

What if someone he's in contact with is actually from Rapture? Couldn't they be the ones delivering all the clues to him and be leading him to Rapture?

I like that idea, but the problem we all face with it is who? Many people seem to think that Celeste has been there, or at least knows about it. The same can be said of Lutwidge; he is a perfect candidate for a citizen of Rapture.

I completely agree. Though I'm almost completely sure that Celeste has never been there.

If Celeste hasn't been there, why would someone or something be listening to her phone calls and reading her mail?
