While this may be so, one of the greatest influential factors isn't involved. Of course, I mean Ken Levine. All I'm saying is don't get your hopes up. BioShock wasn't developed with a sequel in mind, which is why this game is about making money. It's called milking a brand. It may end up being good, sure, but it won't come close to the original. I can promise you that.

Heh, way to right it off before it's even been released! Smile I can understand your scepticism, but let's at least be broad minded enough to give it a chance. Chances are, like many sequels, it'll be a disappointment, but don't write it off yet. Who knows, maybe it'll be even better....Ok, ok, I don't believe that either, but, I'm willing to at least give it a chance. Smile

On a more serious note, this:-
Quote:

Dude, Big Sisters look gay. What a disappointment.

...some people may take offense at. While I'm sure you meant no offense, this is a mature board, please have a little consideration for others. 'Gay' is not a derogatory word.

On one notebook paper pic, there's a NJ phone number (fully readable) That's scribbled out.

Why am I unable to find this? Has anyone tried calling it?

That's what I got as well. Faxing over something about red lights in the ocean probably wouldn't be the best idea.

Meh, I still see something different. Not that it's a huge deal, but still. Smile

hmm. some of the blacking out is not as successful as others. if i tip my screen the right way (lappy), i get a word that looks like [REDACTED] from the second page in the upper left. under 'summary.'

redacted. that is not a word. and yet i see it twice.
maybe they did the typewriter trick where they type over it a bunch first, THEN black it out?

or maybe it's a word scramble.

-_- i'm retarded. it's a word.

a really stupid-sounding word. that basically means they deleted something.

wishful thinking for more clues, i think.

Anyone have a guess on the "end date" of this campaign? When we'll finally get some answers/footage/info?

A few notes on the recent letter:
There's no such town as Innsmouth, RI. Innsmouth is where HP Lovecraft set some of his stories, however.
Gloucester isn't in NH, it's in Massachusetts.

I think this recent letter is from our Fox Mulder who's been collecting this information; I'm willing to guess that next update will be more than just a letter or a newspaper clipping.

Interestingly enough: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shadow_Over_Innsmouth

""The Shadow Over Innsmouth" is a novella by H. P. Lovecraft - telling a tale of fish-frog men known as Deep Ones who live beneath the sea. It seems they bring prosperity in the form of fish as well as fantastically wrought gold jewelry to those who offer them human sacrifice. These fish-frog men are amphibious and willing to come to land to mate with humans, creating deformed offspring which can live forever."

I'm not saying there's any DIRECT correlation, but... it's interesting that the fictional city was mentioned - and the story had to do with something from the sea....

Looking at what I've highlighted, we pretty much said the same damn thing. I will give it a chance, but it's not hard to see the motivation behind this game is making money.

As for they gay statement, if this is a mature board, then people should realize that gay doesn't necessarily mean homosexual. I think my usage is fairly obvious, and any intelligent viewer would see that.

If you want to correct or lecture someone, please spend your time more wisely. Spend it on someone in need of it. Thanks.
