No bowing necessary -- You've put me back on track a couple times as it is -- you're usually a pretty good check on my rampant running about... although, in the case of the Scarlet Sovereign warehouse, it may be the difference between a incinerate and a TK plasmid... but, you're right -- on second glance, were it a fire, it would have to be an old one...

The warehouse being right on the water intrigues me, however...

which led me to the idea/conclusion that this was a shipping point (but probably not the only one) to Rapture. It looks like the bent beams may have been an overhead scaffolding, like for a crane to carry things on and off a boat.

but that's as far as i got.

I have been following this for a while but have been too busy other than to read. There is a paper that was added to the wall left of the map. The mapper is a blank minus the lines that i believe are routes to rapture. They lead from its general location in the north atlantic to major locations world wide if you lay it over a map.

NEW!

new message from Stango talking about the wharehouse, and a map of some sort was found. by the lines on the map, looks like roads or rivers or points on the large map...

EDIT: thanks NateS, as i typed this you posted. I agree, looks like locations on the world map... 9 and 10 would be west coast US (i presume that the line goes through the panama canal). i am confused as to 1 though. looks like somewhere in Asia?

i was thinking china/japan, myself. if that is the case, then we have 6 european locations, New York ( number 8 ), 2 west coast (presumably LA or San Diego and another one), and the far eastern country...

is this where it goes into an IRL scavenger hunt?

This would be the bellman's map -- no land. My guess would be this map is a rough map of the delivery routes for material and personnel to Rapture? I'm guessing that 8 would be New York.

The other one I would guess would be Vancouver or Seattle...

The cities it appears to lead to are 8.New York(NY), 9.Olympia(WA), 10.Sacramento(CA),6.London (United Kingdom), 4.Le Havre (France), 7.Barcelona (Spain),5.Marseille (France), 3.Rome (Italy), 2.Bruxelles (Belgium),1.Sydney (Australia)

these are my guesses

i still think that number 10 is San Diego, what with the comic con and all... possibly LA for it's rather large city status. if it weren't for the whole landlocked thing, i would think 8 could be Chicago, as they are doing their comic con the following weekend.

I was thinking of major ports... San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Vancouver and/or Portland would be the candidates for the US West Coast.

Major ports would be convenient -- a lot of surface traffic lets them hide the movement of people and material for the construction and population of Rapture.

It still could be Chicago, however... the Port of Chicago *is* a major handler of surface traffic -- Chicago has had regular overseas shipping service since 1935.

albeit horribly inefficient for its time, it is a good way to ship things to the middle of the ocean and not have much attention raised. they would have gone through the great lakes, and then through the St. Lawrence River. with all the traffic, it wouldn't have seemed odd, and once you got out to the ocean, it's clear sailing...

i guess we'll find out soon what it is...
