Chicago is up.
Check it out.
http://www.the39clues.com/tour

Highlights:
Peter knows who Ivan Kulik in Chicago is.
He's a retired Janus agent from Russia.

The Dresden Green was stolen by Russia during World War II.
It was later returned 14 years later.
Ivan had a coded note.

Peter doesn't understand it yet, but he has a librarian friend in Philadelphia....

The bold letters signify the solved letters/words.

I cannot make head or tail of the left over part.

For the great lucians out there, carry on the work!

Hope for Hope

Just found this on the Wikipedia page for the Hope Diamond.

Quote:
In The 39 Clues book series, it is said that the Hope Diamond will appear in one of the books.

I think this is double proof that the diamond we are searching is the Hope.

PS In the Hope card, if you look at the Hope carefully, you can see the reflection of man clad in black, with a black bowler hat. MADRIGAL???

Come on people! You're Cahills! Act like it.

This is an easy message to solve:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's just backwards. "Gem report in. Return diamond"

I posted a theory awhile ago in the main thread that I think we are actually looking for a part of the French Blue diamond when it was cut into the Hop Diamond. If you read the letter that comes up when you click on go for the Hope Diamond card it supports that.

The whole mess up is the mixture of branches in this clue. A tomas cut out the clue from the Diamond. But they say that the clue is with Ekats. Again, then why is the Hope diamond card a lucian secret, and not an Ekat secret???

Well, we know that there's a long standing feud between the Ekats and the Tomas', maybe this diamond clue is a piece of that.

Also....there's always the possibility that the hope isn't the right diamond. That's unlikely though since they didn't give us any other diamonds as cards.

Hmmm, wasn't the fake Marie Antoinette a Janus? And that's who helped steal the diamond.

Oh, great! now Janus comes into the picture too! Looks like every branch has had something or the other to do at some point of time with this clue. Mad
