also keep in mind, it doesn't have to be an ARG. If this is 'art', in a sense all he's doing is creating an alternate reality. There are no ARG rules here, he has no obligation even to provide anything at all to the public, we're the ones who are interested in what this is all about...

At this point we're getting more spam and crap in this thread than actual progress. I've followed this website (not calling it an ARG at this point) for over a month now, and at this point I'm ready to walk away. I do not anticipate any breakthroughs or other progress anytime soon, and as such I just can't see dedicating any further time.

We have torn both sites apart, found all the easter eggs, all the hints, all the clues... there's not much more to do. The view counts on the video on YouTube have declined exponentially... in the 3 weeks from 0-1,000,000 it was receiving tens of thousands of views a day... now it hasn't moved more than a couple thousand in a week. Clearly interest in this is dwindling, and if TimSmiT or Thiabult Neils or whoever the hell is managing this whole thing doesn't want his interest to turn to decent, they better push this thing along further or just come out and say it's nothing more than a video resume, and apologize for making it out as more than it really is.

As I said with the original video and website, I really want it to be so much more, but at this point I'm reserved to believe this is nothing more than a PR stunt for a promising young director who wants to make a name for himself. Tim/Thibault, if you read this thread - PLEASE prove me wrong.

It's an interview with both, in this interview they are telling that the Test Movie is just a short review.. That the project is much bigger (There is a longer movie with better effects)

And they are telling that on the Website, new stuff is being added.. So we need to check the website every now and then.

Tim confirms that it's a big puzzle that gets updated every once in a while. He also says that he wants to know if people can answer his question and solve this mystery.

He tells about the story of the 'real' movie:

The box is found by a man who wakes in a world without people. He doesn't know why he's the only one, te story is about exploring what has happened and where the other people are.

The website is for the 'puzzles' around the movie, they'll try to add new things from time to time.

This little movie on youtube is just a test for the bigger movie, and to show some special effects (in the real movie they will only be better)

wll fwiw it always has said "test film" and the original YT decription said it was going to be deleted soon (never happened). The one thing that's been bothering me lately is a line from the original swf code. Every medium has it's ancestors / every paine has it's anti. The 2nd line lead us to the first anti picture, but nothing ever came of the first line.

One line in the source of babel-research.eu/witb/ is bothering me too. It says "unmask the url". Maybe we should search for an older version of the site? Or does it mean something else?

I don't know if it is already mentioned, but the line "!WASITACATISAW" means "Was it a cat I saw?", which is the flashing cat we already discovered at the babel-research site
