I can think of two reasons why there'd be that sign

A. It was pre-placed there for us to find long time before we reached here and its just another part of the puzzle or

B. They placed that to gain time to add more things to their grand puzzle.

I believe B. is most likely because if you noticed one of the recent messages, the one involving unfiction, had to have been placed fairly recently. I think they have things planned out but are just waiting for us to reach a certain point in the puzzle to unleash more of what they have in store. Although I'm still pondering the SAGA thing....

Quick question. I know the .nl in whatsinthebox.nl means netherlands, but what does .eu mean?

Side note: Thanks for welcoming me to UF, and another fast question. Since addlepated's information about trouting has (probably) already been given to other newbies can I give him a trout? Smile Hehe.

I think they need time because the date is 09 and not 2018 like in the videos.

Domain .eu means europe, newest domain after .tel .

I think it means nothing special.

Uhm, no. But you can send a Flounder for not directly linking to where the info you posted was posted previously in the thread!!

Holy damn, my brother linked this video to me because he does film and thought it was something cool shot for a portfolio. Once I figured out it was an ARG I flew through and found out there was a 92 page thread on unfiction; I am always late to these awesome ones! Smile

I just read through the article and there was one thing I noticed that had not been posted on it, but it is nothing big.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
On the http://whatsinthebox.nl/anti.gif if you increase the contrast you can see the words: "ATTAINABLENESS" a little bit lower than the center. You can see this here: http://www.pastethat.com/media/files/2009/06/22/attainableness2.jpg

I thought that was pretty interesting considering the "Project: Attainable has failed" in the reversed sounds.

Also I noticed that the anti.jpg and exposed overlay images differ from the actual website, though similar, and you can overlay the exposed on top of anti.jpg which fits perfectly but I do not really see anything of value from it.

http://www.pastethat.com/media/files/2009/06/22/eye_overlay.jpg

One thing I do notice is that there are a ton of arrows scattered everywhere and quite a few eyeballs.

Seruthei, I commend you on your perserverence and taking the high road there! Some folks take trouting poorly, you've done well! Very Happy I do think the Brotherhood of NOD was what Deathscent meant you added.
Welcome to UF!

ETA: Ah I made an assumption there Deathscent. I did a search didn't see The "Brotherhood of NOD" anywhere in this thread and assumed this was the contribution in question, lol. I may not be an expert at search, but at least I know where it is.

I brought up the NOD connection about 30 or 40 pages ago... Not surprising you missed it! I don't think there's a connection, probably just another homage. Smile

it's sad that this has fallen into obscurity, I couldn't refresh my browser fast enough when it was in the spotlight. At least there has been some new content given to us.

Anyway I saw something about something totally unrelated to WITB, but made me think about it. We had the quote of the pro and anti thing from the beginning, however, there are 3 sides to everything: the pro, the anti, and the neutral. And there's 3 towers....

maybe I am grasping at straws, but it's late, I'm bored, and want to see more WITB,

I don;t know about you guys. but I don;t see this tilted cube thing. I see a red circle divided into four. if you click the left quarter you get a video, if you click the right quarter you get some newspaper clippings, if you click the top quarter it brings you to the video. and if you click the bottom quarter you get a text box. there are a bunch of things you can put in here.

and something new I just saw. under the video it says; Due to recent developments, the box must remain closed for a not yet disclosed period of time'

and below that is a disclaimer saying that the sounds etc. were used as temporary placeholders and they are not affliated in any way (so it is NOT a Half-life viral)

here's what I found:

Typing babel in the text box gives you;
why are you giving me the directions, if you are the one who needs them

Typing please gives you
who are you, Dennis Nedry?

typing in hanso gives you
4 8 15 16 23 42
which after some research are from lost and (Wikia, talking about Lost) ' [http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/The_Numbers

what could it mean? J.J. Abrhams is picking it up? (He's said that he likes to keep his projects linked in some way I.E.: the dharma logo in Cloverfield)

typing in 4 8 15 16 23 42 gives you
SYSTEM FAILURE

typing in babel gives you
why are you giving me the directions, if you are the one who needs them

No, we are saying that you need to read the thread first before posting, so that you don't post info we already saw/investigated. 93 pages is a lot, but there is always the search option Very Happy
