 		Like Omega_Absolute said, there is a hidden message "Urea Unfits Vino" displayed in the bottom, right-hand corner when you hover over what looks like a frayed power cable on the bottom right of the planet.

Additionally, you can click the nuclear explosion on the top right of the planet, near the helicopter. It displays one of the previous videos of the tourists with bloody noses, and the explosion.

I can't find any other hidden content, but I am positive there is plenty that I am missing.

Also, When you go to the "Whats in the box" section, (I think) the video has a new title screen, with a red half-arc like the ones currently on witb.nl. I am unsure if any other changes have been made to the video, but someone should give it a looking over. We should also take a look at the other pages on the site for more clues.

Not to be a killjoy or anything, but all those things were discovered months and months ago. For more info just go back and reread this thread as this thing was pretty thoroughly picked apart only to discover it was a film project for a student.

I give this wannabe ARG one thing and one thing only, it REFUSES to die.

Sorry, but yeah, it was a film project. The guy who made it joked around about there possibly being more in the future but there has been no new updates or changes in months, just new players discovering it for the first time and thinking it was new. I don't have the links on hand anymore but if you go back through this thread it's all there.

 		it was a film project that has been turned into a Hollywood production. reason there hasn't been any updates is legal mumbo jumbo as they are working with various studios until they feel they have found the right one to go ahead with. apparently timsmit has said that there are a few clues yet to be discovered, but atm its a dead arg.

Hi,

I have read this entire thread front to back without skipping anything. I do not recall seeing anything about timsmit.info, granted I read this thread months ago. But I honestly don't remember that website coming up, nor do I ever remember visiting it. I do recall that it was a student project, but again, I don't recall seeing this website.

I just wanted to say that I started reading this forum about 5 hours ago (holidays) and it's great to see a community get behind a ARG the passionatly.

Now I wonder, whether they weren't really exploded, since the test video (the first What's in the box video) showed us the later moments as far as I understand it.


I'm thinking what if the 3 stations, (Brout, Higgs, Enlert) are in different locations, and the stations are the cluster of 3 towers. So in the first video we where probabley looking at the Englert blowing up as the other already have. In this case the new footage would have been taken before the old footage. [I'll try to describe my theory better after sleeping, when I'm less tired]

Oh yeah, and one of the main reasons that I think this is the differing enviroments around the explosions from the plants [no dark, swirly clouds in the new footage] and also the fact that this "distortion" hanged around in the old footage and in the new footage it appeared instantly.

 		This is a VALVE project (portal 2?)
This entire thing smells of VALVE, Remember when they did http://www.aperturescience.com for the release of portal? Its the same thing! There is a aperture science and black mesa logo set on the bottom of the babel research web page. The cat is like the cake on the Aperture science site, it keeps popping up randomly. So this must be VALVE.

I just did a WHO IS search and found that the registrant is:
TSM000049-DOENP
T. Smit
and the location is:
Boterbloem 1
6566HK MILLINGEN AAN DE RIJN
Netherlands
VALVE says its not them, but it is, oh yes it is.



PS. if someone already found this, just ignore me. i didn't have time to search over9000 posts.

It's not Valve. It's a student film. Valve is based in Seattle anyway. The students have put in Half Life easter eggs because they're fans of the series. That's all.

 		If you had seen the interview and other information Timsmit posted, the reason HL2 sounds were used is because they were on hand. Instead of recording tons of new sounds and sorting through them, he used what he had, and what would fit.

All the half life and portal references that are there are purely 'easter eggs'. VALVE wouldn't be using music from Jurassic Park and Lost in an advert for one of their games. Not to mention the cellphones shown. When was the last time you saw a modern cellphone in a Half Life game?

The only thing that catches my eye that could be directly taken from the Half Life 2 story is the energy event atop the towers. If I remember correctly - at the end of EP:1, that energy blast is about to go off when G Man 'saves' Gordon and the Vorts save Alyx - right before it blows.

Also, The name T. Smit. Look at the whatsinthebox website. Down at the bottom, it says it was made by Timsmit - look at the interview with him - he's called by Tim. Listen to the language spoken and the places said for it to have been filmed. Everything lines up perfectly.

Yeah, it's an ARG and supposed to be misleading and such, but, all the points you brought up, Professor_Zombie, have all been covered, all been debunked and we've all moved on. You may not have wanted to read over all the pages - but, I think if you read up to page like 16, and then skip and readup from 90 to now, you'll have seen it was all covered.
