Also, If anyone cares... when he uses the phone on the bus, and makes the connection....
It says: Endspace Network, connect To SBE-59462, Babel Research.... and also shows these three names with icons...
The Brout, The Higgs, The Englert.

There is some interesting reading if you google those three names.

The bus driver's Id badge number is: 7734 A (I supposed upside down and backward, could look like "hell")

Ya the bus driver tag at 3:34:07 jumped out at me since it was written in English "Your driver is...." while most other stuff I saw was in dutch.

The car company name on the side of the building when he first goes outside for example. 2:53:08 Van Zwaaij Autoservice http://www.vanzwaaij.nl/ and the bus company name on the side of the bus both appear to be real companies.

*Edit*Forgot to add that the Autoservice company address is not too far from the address of the markup.nl office location listed in the whois info so it was probably just a shoot location and not connected. Google Maps

The note falling out of the bag at 3:20:13 looks to say * 10 Verse Scharreleieren. May be a letter or number in place of the * I couldn't tell. Translates to: * 10 Fresh Eggs

 Tips from the IT Guy

Just something I thought I'd add. To reiterate previous posts, it's probably not wise to brute force the ftp as its likely simply an ftp that the web host provides Mr. Smit to upload/sync files to the webserver. As for the question mark at the end of the url, as the previous poster said, it does nothing. If there were anything after the question mark, these would be variables passed on to a server side script. The server probably accepts the question mark due to it having serve side scripting enabled. As to what this is, I doubt it's official, but having spent a few hours on this, I wish it were. The video was simply brilliant.

It isn't official. At least from Valve's perspective. http://www.gamespy.com/articles/964/964493p1.html

Edit: Also, if what Chaoticsouls is true, then we should just wait and let them give out the information.

The edges of the box are just a vectors I think. Maybe sum of every addition is "z" from "anti.jpg" top equation?

username "Kreis"

i would like to add some simple but maybe important info:

The mysterious post in many forums about the magazines with the ? and Oceanic logo has been made by a User named "Kreis".

"Kreis" means circle in German. Maybe this could help someone with solving the math things. Wink

The top equation is the formula for the volume of a cube of side 2n.

This has been posted, see page 2. It's great you guys are trying to help but please read the whole thread first, or face the Trout

This blog post raises a few interesting points (Google translation). Although completely unsubstantiated and hampered by my bad Dutch, it seems to say it was made and published for a short film competition and as a "hire-us!" sort of thing.

(ETA: Post from Nijmegan student magazine with words from Tim)

translation

you're translation isn't completely right, it says that Tim Smit made the video for a workshop for the festival GoShort, it was never intended to have such an impact on the community.
but now that it has and the movie has had over 150.000 hits they have been contacted by several hollywood studio's including 20th century fox

Just to note a change his youtube profile uploaded the box as his avatar. I went to properties to get the exact link which was

http://i3.ytimg.com/i/2C5rcXAzvUf6LGOynhP5Jw/1.jpg

Also just posting this for the people who might of thought I was lying. Also schema is right the blog says it was just for a film project not some sort of ARG so I guess we kinda wasted our time? I still don't get why there would be clues if it wasn't an arg though. Like in text of the website.
