 		Hmm, he's completely replaced the jpg with the gif, but everything seems the same. Dunno if inverting the colors did anything before on the jpg, but now all it does is make the whole thing go black. But anyways, I was thinking about this site all of last night, and couldn't come up with anything else that I noticed. But it should be a lot of fun watching it unravel over here.

New ARGer here. I googled Babel Research and one of the hits was an LLC with a suspiciously sparse site ...just an e-mail address to contact. I'm trying it now to see if I get a response.

As far as I see nothing is replaced - http://www.whatsinthebox.nl/anti.jpg is the JPG image, http://www.whatsinthebox.nl/anti.gif the GIF one. If you omit the www in the url, only the GIF loads and the JPG can't be found which imho isn't extraordinary.

Both pictures seem identical on the first view, maybe the information from the GIF could be used to determine if there's something hidden in the JPG (or vice versa)?

JPG file size is > 2 MB, GIF about 375 KB; but this is (at least in parts) due to the different file formats - if I load up the JPG in PS and save it "For Web" with all options to min compression, it predicts an output size of 2 MB. On the other hand, with slight compression enabled (80% quality) it can be saved in under 1 MB, leaving some space for encrypted whatever-it-may-be while having very little (no?) visual impact on the pic.

Tried rescaling it different ways to place it over the other cube. Dunno if it helps any thou cant see much about it maybe you guys. In this example i resized it so that the credits overlap.

Also, early in the video when he looks at the radiation thing on the wall, there are two posters that come into view... can anyone make out what they say? One says something like Fe2O8 (110) Surface Morphology...

And there's a another one with a picture and says .. ____ Laser Beam Deflection (maybe the first word here is detonation??)


You should be able to download the YouTube video converted to a WMV or MOV file and then go through it frame by frame.

@fly I'd try and scale that image down a bit, it's making the forum layout go crazy

 		yesterday it was like "1" or "7", so now its "6", I pressume that is some kind of cooldown (7->6, tommorow = 5? or maybe its some kind of password or code?)
also bout that babel research (babel-research.com or lurewallet.com) site - dnno if its real site, cant connect them to any legit biss (thougt its connected to http://www.manta.com/coms2/dnbcompany_xgrcq but since they have no www, are located in usa/ny i started lurking). So we stop here http://mail.babel-research.com/webmail/imp/ ... dnno, maybe trying get to some acc with username that could been seen @4:17 in the movie, but whats the pass then? anyone tried to contact them already?

 		just found something more, maybe not a tip but still interesting. I dont remember any1 to mention it so here it is.
When person from movie calls @bus to the babel research we can see kinda blured 3 blured word-things he try to connect(?). So those "the sth" are guys that have many things in common

Oops, I have to correct myself - by now, the JPG version seems completely gone. Maybe it also was before, and I was looking at a cached version. Sorry!

So this is probably a clue that there was no crypted information in the JPG, other than visual hints...
