It seems possible that the number of views affects the countdown. But what would be the magic number though? It might have been coincidental that it changed exactly on the 900k'th viewing... Dunno

No its just a fan made video pretty much. We are just waiting for the countdown to end and see if he post a new video or whatever he does when countdown is finished.

I should have mentioned that this is not a translation of the audio but of the description on youtube

Well this is my first time posting here, but I've been following this since the day the video came out. I'm also the one that posted the link to the Tim Smit interview above as Guest...

I'm starting to think as I dig deeper and deeper into this whole mess that this is just a PR stunt by these guys trying to get a million views on YouTube with something they made for $150. The Purchase Brothers (the guys who did Escape from City 17) have over 2.2 million views, and they had a similar budget... I have a feeling this type of "video resume" is going to become more and more popular for emerging film makers as a way to showcase their talents.

I desperately want this to be so much more than that, and I truly hope I am wrong, but all signs seem to be pointing to this being nothing more than promotional...

Gave up on this a while back after it just started to seem like a self-promoted short film by some dudes looking to get some attention from the industry, but now that the Youtube countdown is over I'd like to know - what actually happened when the countdown finished? I visited the youtube and the site and as far as I can tell nothing has changed, and the big number 1 is still in the youtube comment. Does anyone know if anything actually happened?
