The equation you guys talk about as BigO notation is also the formula for magic cubes (wiki it). Its the exact formula and seeing how we are dealing with cubes it probably references this.
the hypercube image is a clear rip from mathworld
http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Hypercube.htm
there are also pages dealing with the magic cube and prince ruperts cube on there.

I haven't seen it added in yet, so I thought I'd throw this out. The flash video itself is named pro.swf. A pretty fancy comparison to their anti.jpg, considering the lines in their code, hm?

Hahaha! Anyone here who plays The Nethernet should notice that there's a puzzle crate on the page with the question "What's in the box?". Creator signed up a month ago from Turkey. Doubtfully in-game, but The Nethernet is still really awesome Props to whoever cracks it first!

Someone at firstshowing.net found a magazine with an ad
definitely related to the site, not sure if it's revealing though. still very interesting....! I still don't know if that video is related to the website, it's still only a one-way connection at this point.

I live in Nijmegen (where this was shot apparantly) and noticed something you should see. There is a physics magazine called leonardo bode, and on the back of some issue's there appear to be a hint to what's in the box!!1!!

oh! I totally missed the Oceanic bit. I actually didn't even notice the box on the white cover...
this is very strange... how does the box connect with Evolution and connect with Oceanic?
Could the Oceanic logo be a separate ad? the line reads "The Island is Waiting" and I think the small text is "www.oceanic-air.com". Might be self-contained.
But the last apeman is in crayon style like the oceanic logo. As is the Vitruvian Man symbol...
could it be a Lost movie?
actually, *smack* the youtube video has halflife and lost in the tags.
This actually supports the website and video's relation... d'oh
wtf is going on?

1) i whould love to see the entire second magazine not half covered, possibly there's a clue hidden there
2) the barcode doesn't translate to www.whatsinthebox.nl, i tried writing that in all known barcode variations and they all looked a little diffrent from this one, if someone got a barcoode reader software maybe you can help out here?

This is so confusing...a Half Life/Lost ARG? Sounds like some crossover fanfiction gone horribly wrong...

Signed up... I'm on it.
EDIT: Well, the entire puzzle is just answering the question "What's in the box?"

Those ads would have cost money too.
It is strange, the likelihood of it being a viral campaign seems unlikely due to the copyright infringement. But it would have cost an awful lot for some random fan boy to do.

Fanfic creators don't buy full page ads in magazines.

The Oceanic Airlines reference is copyright infringement. In my opinion, the Half-Life references aren't nearly as blatant. Given a choice of the two, I would lean more towards a Lost connection than a HL one at this point.
Then again, the Oceanic reference doesn't mean Lost: we've seen it in Fringe, too, or anything JJA-related.

My vote is on "Gwynneth Paltrow's severed head."

I am unable to find anything about a magazine called Leonardo Bode. I'm thinking it is not real? Nothing of interest seems to come from the name other than references to Leonardo da Vinci.
Can anyone find out anything about the user who posted those magazines? Bar code reader is probably a good idea as well.
