I don't think we should forget the main character completely, though. Afterall, he has the box. He'd be the first person I'd ask about what's inside of it!

This is something that has been bugging me from the beginning, probably because we have no links as to who he is or what his connection to Babel Research and the box are. Our mystery protagonist has the box and, therefore, all the answers.

Has anyone thought of digging a little deeper into the Tenacious D references? I know Smit is just a "fan" of D, but that doesn't mean that all the references don't mean something. Tenacious D has a new album out (at least it was last year) that has a logo very similar to the Babel Research logo (anyone else thing their looks looks curiously like an upside-down Punisher logo?). Anyway, I'm going to dig into this a little bit tonight and scour some of the Tenacious D message boards and what not and see if there's any sort of connection or extra info.

Also, I think we need to dig deeper into the biblical connection here with Babel, Babylon, etc. The "tower" at Babel Research opening a singularity... Tower of Babel... I dunno.

Just found this too... on the UEC join image, it says "Peace Through Power." I thought that sounded familiar... looks like we might have ANOTHER video game reference...



This is from Command and Conquer 3, it was the NOD slogan of Kane, the leader of the "evil" empire...

Aw, man. If there is something there, I can't see anything worth a damn. The only thing of interest I could find was a small dot in between the two right slats on top of the box. Nothing seems to match up with the anti or the exposed pics. The only thing I can't really make out or determine its significance are the objects near the left soldier's hand (looks like 'il' or something, but again, that's probably the letter thing getting to me).

this, but hacking is still a no no, if its really part of it then it will be based on clues not a brute forcer, and can't an ftp login be added and set to download only, thus a good hiding spot for another clue <__<;

The image is very big, but only the middle part actually shows something - why?

Whats with the dots in the right lower corner - babel research symbol?

What's with the two logos in the middle, sword upon three circles: the european one above and the triangle one (from the news vid below)?

What's with the small "looking for volunteers" text? Maybe we need to register as a volunteer, which means we join the UEC, to find out more? If so: how?

That's everything I can make out of the image at the moment...

 		squid, sorry my last post was confusing. In the witb video, when our protagonist uses the box in the beginning, a segment lights up and then shoots that red beam out towards the towers. the segment in the movie corresponds to the segment between the tB and Lb lines on Jochans image.

a reset or a change of first post
since the author of this thread has essentially died, i would please request that either an admin, or a mod, update the first post as we have at least half of this thread dedicated to Hanso, along with the deletion of virtually every hanso post in this thread, and a warning about hanso in the first post. Hanso is NOT a part of this ARG, and is not meant to be. if any connections are made, it's because the author saw it fit to use it as a reference. i make this request because it irritates me that a large number of the new people go:
"HOLY SHIT, I THINK I'M ON TO SOMETHING, MAYBE IF Isokmgm,f "
etcetc
the first post should be reworded to have essentially the above, and then links to babel, whatinthebox, youtube, and brucewiki, along with a reminder to not speak up until everything has been read through, regardless of their opinions on a matter. people reposting the same thing should receive warnings and then an IP ban if the posts continue for too long. i also say that the hanso thing be the domninant thing about this. it's just bothering me too much.

also, i think the UEC ad only tells us that almost anything with the UEC symbol has relevance with the UEC. i'm thinking the author wants more than one view on this situation:
1) that from the video(s)
2) that from Babel (closely related to or equal to that of the guy from the video(s))
3) UEC
4) other

unfortunately, this ARG hasn't been moving too much... i'll say we get back to this ARG shortly... hopefully after a mod/admin does something...

On what basis? And I'm not necessarily talking about THE LHC at CERN, but something similar. The mathematics and hints all over the site point to the science and research directly involved with the LHC... and that's our first step towards finding the "god" particle, as it were. What if that box is just a miniature particle accelerator? The way it lights up at the beginning of the video is VERY similar to the look/design of the LHC... who knows though, just another angle... could be coincidental, but there seems to be a basis some investigation.
