Another exchange with Robert Smith from last night (sorry I wasn't able to post until now). I'm not sure if I'm even asking the right questions... Hope this can be helpful -

Me: Is Lane in Southern Cali?

R.S.: Yes.

Me: So, is Samuel still at the lab?
(He didn't answer for some time...)

Me: So, is that a no then?

R.S.: That's a no. But by the 7th, we should be able to recreate the brain mutations Samuel was born with.

Me: 1.Why the 7th - why wait? 2.Will Samuel be in harms way on that date?

R.S.: 1.We've located the gene that was altered in his father's DNA; all that is left is to figure out where it is located on any human chromosome without altering something unimportanat, like eye color - It takes time to get volunteers. 2.Not at all!

Been lurking here a couple of days, thought I'd give you a hand as you seem to be struggling

Firstly;

I haven't been contacted by either Sam or Robert recently, but I haven't contacted them either as I'd like to solve this puzzle first.

I'm focusing on the words as well, rather than the numbers, but nothing conclusive is working out yet. Some of my thoughts are:
-Rachel Wolf Daniel and Rachel Wilson Lane almost anagram. Maybe we need to do something with the letters that don't match up?
-Maybe the hint about dreaming of a phone was not refering to a number, but has something to do with phone key translating?

All in all, I am still beating my head against the wall over this one. The more I stare at it the more I swear I can see a simple solution, but as soon as I try to work it out one letter or another doesn't fit in. I just hope the letters don't create a foreign word like platano, or I'm hopeless.
