 		 KINGS- DEFINITE ARG - NBC
This is a DEFINITE arg. Its called Kings, its on NBC
A definite ARG is out for the show KING, on the NBC network. 8:00PM EST Sundays. go to NBC for more information on the show.


Please keep in mind that this show is realistic fiction, and is MODERN, not fantasy. Though the names and such may seem corny, i watched the show and the show is not corny at all!

Overview of the show so far:
the main character is David Shepard. He is a soldier of the country Gilboa
(Gilboa is a monarchy by the way). He was separated from his platoon in Gath territory (Gath is an enemy of Gilboa). Though Shepard surrendered, by what is either pure luck or the work of god, the Gath "Goliath" tank that was probaly going to kill him blew up. After running to the nearest shelter in fear, Shepard found the King son "Prince Jack Benjamin" and saved his life.

After David saves Jack's life, he is viewed as a hero, and becomes the face of Gilboa. Though, he is upset that he was being taken as brave when he actually surrendered and survived only by luck of some kind.

A Peace-Treaty almost occurs between Gilboa and Gath, but CrossGen, a company that has TONS of money invested in the Gilboa-Gath war, convices the reluctant King Silas to keep the war going, or else CrossGen will take all of their money that they have invested in Gilboa, and spend it elsewhere (theirfore crippling the Gilboan economy.)

Though, after becoming angry that his brother died in the Gilboa-Gath conflicted, David Shepard walks into the territory between a a Gath unit of Tanks and a Gilboan trench filled with on-edge soldiers and while holding his brothers coat or a flag (i forget which one) shouts a powerful speech among the lines of "I have had enough blood, if you want some more, take my brother, take me, but take no one else. Show us your faces. Show us that you live for more then our death." After this very stirring speech somone from the Gath side of the Battlefield comes over the Cpt. David Shepard in a truck, and they begin to talk (about peace presumingly)

This gives King Silas a reason to stop the war despite CrossGen's threat.

Last thing for the overview... Prince Jack Benjamin is jealous of how much attention that Cpt. David Shepard is receiving. David benjamin is falling in love (or is at least infatuated with) Prince Michelle, King Silas's daughter.

My bad, LAST, last thing... King Silas says that the story of how he knew god watned him to be king, was that butterflies came out from no where and formed a crown on his head. This happens to Cpt. David Shepard near the end of the pilot episode. King Silas sees this, and now presumably considers David Shepard a threat to the throne.

Original Settlers

• King Silas instituted a monarchy with a system of ministries appointed to advise him on the many areas of the country under his charge.

Gath War
• After more than two decades of uneasy armistice between Gilboa and its northern neighbor Gath, the countries re-entered conflict, with Gilboa counter-attacking Gath after a skirmish at the border left 36 soldiers wounded, another eight killed.
• Gath introduced the Goliath tank to the battlefield, shifting the balance of power, forcing Gilboa to enact conscription and double the number of infantry on the border. The two sides were locked in a war of attrition, until a Gilboan private named David Shepherd performed a remarkable act of heroism on the battlefield, an act that finally brought Gath and Gilboa together for peace talks. King Silas negotiated an end to the conflict, but it is unknown whether the peace will hold. "

 		EDIT: I will be back in 20min-1 hour. eating dinner/lunch.

EDIT: My bad, dint see the post about the binary thing, but cool. never even thought of that, i will keep that in mind when i watch the show next Sunday.

Ok i see the square design on the banner thing, but i don't really see the anagram CEGCO. I suppose its just interpretation.

 		interesting... I've heard mixed responses to the pilot, but I think this has convinced me to watch it and check out how deep this rabbithole goes. Razz

Now is there a story going on self-contained outside the tv show, or is this more like an extended reality where elements of the show are real?

 		Though its only been one episode, it seems more like extended reality. Though i can see them following minor characters possibley. Depending on if the show leaves out any characters worth delving into. Though as i first, its probably just extended reality.

 		Fourth Wall Studios is likely behind this. Elan Lee tweeted asking for comments on the Kings and Watchmen campaigns, and Watchmen/6 Minutes to Midnight was confirmed as 4WS's baby.

Love the show, but I'm betting on extended experience. Few shows have gone for the full monty, and this one shows signs of a mostly passive supplement to the show.

I will be sure to research 4th wall studios then. Maybe they publicly-realized future plans for this "extended" reality.

EDIT: i checked, their web-site is well-worded but alas, contained no information on their puppeteering of the Kings reality.

I managed to get in touch with Elan, and he confirmed that unnexclusive.com is indeed a Fourth Wall Studios product, but the other sites and extended content aren't. Take that as you will =)
I thought the 200meters.com site had a pretty Edoc Laundry-esque appearance, but I guess not, hehe


So, let's hope whatever NBC's got planned for this is quality and memorable (in a good way Smile )

the first four (I rearranged your list) are all hosted on the exact same NBC IP address, so that isn't a fansite -- or maybe you meant meta site for the fans, not fan-made site; the last one is hosted elsewhere, so I tend to believe Elan.
