No anagrams from BRECOSPHQKFNLDGJMI (the letters on the board)

So far the name of files have often been important in solving puzzles... so keep the Mythology aspect in mind

Edit:
No anagrams for atuvwxyz (the missing letters) either.

Q: when we solved the Letter puzzle.. did we have a file for each letter in the alphabet or anythign was missing?
Guess I'll go check

Edit:
black and white tiles.. checkboard? Knight moves?

Dear "E.Y.E. Spy",
with all due respect, I thought we had gone over this once before.
I, for one, don't appreciate the posting of decompiled Flah files.
First, looking into them could be considered 'cheating'.
Secondly, any critical piece of information needed to solve puzzles has been shared by the PMs in a much more accessible way and I would assume they'd like to keep it that way.

I'm not going to look in those files and I'd like for this to be the last decompiled Flash file I see in this game.

Thank you,
a fellow player

Quick note here - some games have been known to put stuff in source files deliberately, knowing that the only way it would be found was by decompiling it. PMs who rely solely on flash to hide stuff for their puzzles in this day and age are kinda asking for it.

At one time there was a "Thou Shalt Not Decompile the Flash" gentleman's agreement, but when games started hiding stuff in the flash, that went by the wayside.

Okay, I've been staring at that letter grid so long I'm going to be seeing it in my sleep and I'm still none the wiser as to what we're looking for. I've tried mucking around with knight moves and also using the codex we had before in various different ways, but I got nothing. Anyone else feel they're getting anywhere?

The problem I'm having is there's just too many different possibilities and not enough direction. Only solid points of interest I really have are that there's the outline of an eye under the chessboard, somewhat visible right at the beginning, and that KLMNO are all on black squares and PQRS all on white. Also, the phrasing of "find 4 letters" makes me think it's not an actual word we're looking for.

Other than that, I swear I see letters at the beginning on the squares, before the actual letters form, but that's probably afterimage from refreshing so much as I haven't been able to screenshot them.

Might be on to something. Also, the title is 'mythology.swf'. That might mean there's some connection between the answer and some myth. I tried lore, and several names of various gods that all have 4 letters, but so far none have worked.

Various things to consider -
Crack the safe - what cracks safes?
Are there any mythological safe crackers?

At school, but having no luck with this puzzle.

Sure it's something painfully obvious that we just missed.

Regarding 4 letters and mythology, I found this info on the tetragrammaton:-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetragrammaton

It's the 4 letters of the Hebrew name for god. It's probably not linked to this and I can't get it to work as a solution in any way, but I thought I'd throw it out there in case it strikes a chord with anyone. As a semi-related aside, I also found this article regarding a number of different religions with a 4 letter word for god:- http://www.infoplease.com/dictionary/brewers/four-letters.html

Hell, I'm clutching at straws now....Heh

I tried asking for clues from several IG characters - no luck so far.
