I am stumped on what the password could be to desteg the hand image. Were there any passwords used in Amelia? Maybe we could get an idea of a direction to look in. I saw John online today and just as I was thinking of what to say to him he logged off. Does anyone know what passwords he's tried on the EEE folder? I know someone suggested he try the names, do we know if he did that?

ok so old keywords/possible passwords:

Grind (translated from the hex 67 72 69 6e 64 - note found in a can by Shawn)

Annie (amelia's daughter - "She's 10.. She has strawberry blonde hair, and she's pretty slim because she takes 3 ballet classes a week... last I saw her, she was wearing a Hello Kitty shirt and black jeans")

Jason (Amelia's husband, died in Iraq)

"I bet you miss your bed" is written inside the wrapper. And on the bar is kind of etched in, the number 4 (Found by Amelia in her light fixture)

A crazy website that was bookmarked on Amelia's computer: notawebsite.com

Amelia found a note in her pocket that said "Light will not help you to get upstairs"

Amelia in the Bathroom is back? Sweet. I'll be watching this one with interest.

SPEC- The bad thing that annie refers to calls himself Low Key. Could Annie's young ears be mishearing it slightly and our antagonist is Loki, the Norse god of evil and mischief, or even just share it's/his name?

EDIT - Wait, he calls himself The Low Key, so scratch that idea Trout

Ok looks like I've been recruit lol. Trying to catch up. I was contacted again, but I wasn't there. I did add the yim so I can try again when they log on.

Kazic: Do you know where you are?
littleoakley: In Their house. Where They did all that They are famous for. Or at least that what I think it is.
littleoakley: What did you do? All the pieces have started moving again. Its waking up.

EEE is the name of the .zip file on John's computer.

Maybe beyondtherooms is the password.

I have a question...I didn't play the 1st part of this ARG, Amelia, so what role did the website play in the 1st part? I think it's interesting that we need to enter a password to get into that site as well

Yeah could be. I'll email him asking him what passwords he's tried and tell him to try that. I've been trying everything to desteg the image but nothing yet. Still trying though. If anyone has any suggestions please post them. I've tried everything that's been suggested so far and no go.

I haven't been able to find much. Most of the books are in simply horrendous shape, expounded by mold and lack of use. The only book I could find that was not completely useless seems to be in some kind of code. It must be incredibly old, as I am unable to translate it.

Something in the house has activated. There are sounds echoing through the house, not all of which are readily definable. I have the feeling that staying put is no longer advisable. I have also realized a distinct lack of any sort of vermin that had previously been infesting the room.

I have found something that I believe may be useful. It appears to be one of the few books that has been maintained in the library. Unfortunately I am unable to translate it at all. It is the book that I mentioned earlier. It appears to be organized into roughly six sections, each with some kind of recurring theme.

Hmm... looks interesting. Well, I suppose I'll jump into the fray.

I didn't jump on the Amelia bandwagon, but I suppose I'll jump on the DiningRoomBasement one. I briefly skimmed through all seven pages, but I'm not sure the best way to get in on the ARG. I figured adding all the captives locked in the rooms would help, but I don't have Yahoo Messenger. Can I add them to my Windows Live contact list?

I've never used Windows Live but I'm pretty sure those are two different things so it wouldn't work. If you don't want to get Yahoo IM then you can just send an email to any of the characters and get in that way. Welcome aboard!

Still haven't heard back from diningroombasement or seen him online. Wonder if Gina happens to be stuck in a room with a scanner, haha. I'd like to see that code.

Just checked, I can get it to work. Very Happy I've added DiningRoomBasement and BasementLibrary.

Yes, your Yahoo contacts can be added to MSN Messenger and (I THINK) your MSN contacts can be added to Y!IM as well. Smile
