Hurh - not sure what to make of this one. I mean, I do - kinda - it's obviously Rage responding, but it looks like he made good on his promise of obliterating the Watchers.

I had sent an email to Val a bit earlier today, trying to get some more information about the ARGfest - and here's the reply I got:
Quote:
Val doesn't live here, my friend. In fact Val doesn't live anywhere now.

And can someone refresh my memory as to who Reynaud is/was?

Wulf: No idea, honestly. I don't think he's ever been mentioned before, as far as I can remember--if he has, it was probably only in passing.

Continued texts from Bernie!
Quote:
Me: you and me both, buddy. how do you know this number, anyway?

Bernie: The Watchers were my team. I know quite a bit.

Me: so it seems. should he contact me, you'll be the first to know... but I haven't heard a thing. really starting to worry about him.

Bernie: I'm worrying too. Thanks. I hope to hear from him soon.

Okay, so FYI to you guys thinking about/going to attend ARGFest:

It's true! I invited Brian to participate in a panel suggested by PinkCloud on "Blurring Reality."

Cheers,

And apparently he confirmed his appearance for real, because now there is a lovely little bio on him on the "Speakers" page. I lol merrily at the editor's note.

I just got an email from Holly, Sarge's daughter:
Quote:
Find Hatch! You are going to need a map of the Brightman. Last I knew you could find him in the beer that King was supposed to bring to the meeting. It's not safe to be more specific. And don't ask B.S., he thinks She is safer out on the rock. I need to disappear, so it all depends on you guys now. You can do it, don't let this all have been in vain. -Holly

I must be having a serious brain collapse today. I know Port mentioned bringing beer to the meeting, but couldn't find it in the quick scan of the forums. I thought it was Old Milwaukee though?

Ok - so we need Hatch (who?), and if I have the beer right, he's in Milwaukee. Ok, so that narrows it down a bit. It sounds like Holly is suggesting we get Jenny out of the Brightman Institute - but we know that everything goes to hell if Rage and Jenny meet up in Oklahoma. If she leaves Brightman, I'm guessing that's pretty much inevitable.

I just got mine too. So we need to find (W.T. Hatch) former guard at Brightman. Just what beer was Port supposed to bring to the meeting. I don't remember him mentioning any meeting.

Edit:

nd if he's not an asshole. Have him to stand near the Grilled Skewer on Wadsworth in Arvada with a six-pack of Keystone Light in a paper bag in one hour and I'll do the rest.

Edit2: Classi beat me again.

Got the same email.

FYI: the beer was actually Keystone Light, which is brewed in Golden, Colorado.

Obtusitivity mission accomplished
this just in...

Report from Obs in the field:
Quote:
So that was pretty uneventful...to be honest, i was expecting more than a printed picture in a sandwich bag...

That's all he relayed to me via phone email -- i'll let him return later with details.

Hi All, i'm still in the process of getting everything together. Essentially I parked a few blocks from the cemetery in order to scope out the surroundings and look for a black Yukon. None in sight. I made my way past a beat-up blue motorcycle and shopping cart full of junk and the two grungy teenage gutterpunks sitting near the entrance (to whom i assume the aforementioned crap belonged). I would've taken a photo of them, but then I'd have to disinfect my camera, and that just seemed like too much work.

I'd run almost immediately into the "11" marker, and did a quick circuit in the vicinity of the couple (who I immediately dubbed Jimmy and Jackie Corpsewater). Unfortunately (as is the case with sprawling ancient cemeteries) there wasn't much of a pattern to the numbering, 11, 9, 14, 14, 8...

long story short I headed deeper into the shadowy oak infested belly of The Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery, keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary, praying I would somehow manage to spot a bright yellow marker reading "22" in this sea of oak trees and crumbling marble...

and viola! there it was! it was at that point that my mind kicked into high hear and I drew out the composite of images we'd already receivied -- the bench, the tree, the wall, and turned slightly to my left.

There it all was. right next to the grave of Wainright Finlay 1866-1878. I knocked away the piece of loose mortar covering our suprise and right behind it was a souble-bagged printout of the esoteric variety.

you've already gotten my horrible color photo, so here's the horrible black and white scan..

That's pretty much it. I hung around a while and looked for anything else out of place, then made my merry way back past Mr. and Mrs. Corpsewater and headed off to work.

-Obs

EDIT: you can download the scan in .Tif format here: http://in.solit.us/archives/download/162748

FINALLY!

Quote:
klokworkalex: In case you were wondering, I am alive and I'm really frickin' pissed off. Just not sure who I'm pissed at yet.

clas1ca: And here I was wondering if I'd ever hear from you again! Jesus, so I've heard what happened, sorta... where the hell are you? Are you ok??

klokworkalex: I'm OK. That's three times now with Rage killing around me, right? Anyway, I'm near SF hitching along with a trucker. I'll be In touch soon.

clas1ca: It's weird, though; Rage is the last person I would've expected to throw such a whiny tantrum. & by 'whiny', I mean 'bloody'. Be safe, Port.
Also: someone claiming to be Bernie has contacted me, is looking for you. I think he's for real this time, though. What should I do?

edit;; Hazeltine Report was also updated with this image.

So if email is no good, how else are we going to communicate with these guys? /:
