From TGATT 37...
Quote:
Jenny's hands found a cloth napkin in the middle of the table. As she heard the swoosh of the door opening at the far end of the restaurant, her fingers slid under the linen and discovered two full ammunition clips on the cold tabletop.

I dont think Rage kills Jenny. He takes the guns from the counter, she finds the clips under the napkin and then he goes outside to die. Jenny escapes, somehow.

WHOA. WOW.
See I told you she wasn't dead. and Lucy made it out too! I guess that also answers my questions about Ports body.

Awesome story!

ETA: My email to the nurse was returned.

Hi Mr. Schwinn. I really don't know about Mr. King's body. We just call and they come up and get him for processing and we're a very large facility and to be honest I don't know what all that entails. I'm sorry for your loss. Reka

Wow. Just...wow.

I knew he didn't kill her! It just didn't add up to me. I'm glad about Lucy too!

Such a good story!

Last email from Reka:

Oh I'm sorry about misspelling your name, we have a Kortney here and I have never seen it spelled how you do. I have to admit your Mr. King is one of those patients for me. Everyone in medicine has them occasionally. It's just that there's something different about them and you feel instantly attached to them and you never forget them. I can look back over my career and I count time based on the special patients. I don't know if that makes sense. There was definitely something with that one and he sounds like he was very special to you and Mr. Schwinn also. It's such a loss and I really am sorry for you. I'll get the picture to you, thanks for the addy. Reka

Haha, well, I'll let you guys know when the picture comes in, though I doubt there'll be much of anything to it. Because I guess this is really the end!

I dunno about you guys, but it's gonna be hard to move onto any other game after this.

It might have been something else entirely that led me to find the forums (and now, for the life of me, I can't remember what it was!), but it was this that managed to pull me in enough to join and participate.

That said, this whole experience has actually inspired a bit of writing of my own, so there's definitely that to give thanks for. And I've truly enjoyed every agitating moment in watching this all unfold. I don't want to believe it's completely over.

Never would I have guessed that I would have gotten so damn involved in this thing. I've been here the whole five months (well, minus a day) after pretty much stumbling upon it by accident. Trying to picture this thread as I first found it--only three pages long with little more than a couple of emails and a handful of blog posts for substance--is really difficult, given the level of just... stuff that this game has thrown at us.

I'm still kinda surprised I stuck around. Usually I get bored a week or two into these things and then wander off to find something else. Yet! here I am. /nostalgia

Now that this is all done and over (apparently), I kinda want to go back into the wiki and just collect everything for the sake of memories and good times. And it'll keep me busy in the meantime, because WHAT ELSE AM I GOING TO DO NOW

/snff

Also, Bricker, because I know you're reading this: if you don't get the book finished and published after all this, I will be so mad at you. ):

Well poopie.
I was able to make it back in time for like.. THE LAST DAY OF THIS WHOLE THING.
COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT. OHOHOHO.

I remember this starting out... Everyone wondering why some guy killed Kelvin... What the hell happened at the Curran... Everyone thinking this was for Donny Darko? And then some how it exploded into a giant universe of awesome characters and a deeper conspiracy than I think most of us imagined...
Or maybe that was just me. Haha. It seems funny looking back and remembering all the little things we seemed to get stuck on... and they all seem like such small pieces of a much larger and more significant puzzle now.

And the time where we all flipped out when someone sent Classi a package to her parents house... I seriously thought we were all being watched for a while.

I'm probably going to end up printing out this entire thread when I get new printer ink. :<

And.. I agree. It's going to be hard finding another game to play after this one. SO IF ANY OF YOU FIND ONE YOU HAVE TO LET ME KNOW.

Cuz I'm going to miss everyone. Sad

Wow. I'm still just kinda unsure of what to say. It was a helluva ride. It broke a lot of boundries, which pissed some off, and the rest of us loved it. Whether lurking or actively participating - it was an intense ride. The took TINAG to a whole new level. Like Brickers comment in Portland, about this being consistent, and not taking pauses when no one was looking at the forums or their email.
I do feel a tad embarassed that so many of the clues just went over our heads. But there was a lot of meta in this one, and the "gamejack" that just added so much more confusing meta.
All in all, it was a thoroughly engrossing and involving story. One that kept me thinking about it when I wasn't even near a computer.

Well done Brother Bricker.

I'm Not Sorry...

I guess to step out from behind a curtain, there had to have been a curtain in the first place -- which I'm not entirely sure there was.

Regardless, I have truly loved interacting with all of you and I hope that it showed.

I have debated whether I should jump onto this thread and allow you all to deconstruct the past 5 months with me...or just fade away until I dig up a new rabbit hole and remain mysterious.

So, in keeping with my style, I'll let you guys drive this bus.

(By the way, Mr. Schwinn, I tried so goddamned hard to have a pizza delivered to you that day...but your local places just wouldn't cooperate.)
