Actually, it sounds like you were able to ask her some better questions than I was, as she definitely dumped a bunch of info in our laps. Nicely done. There are several things in there that she mentioned, that we should be able to start digging into. For example - I find it strange that Dr.Starr emailed CptHolly 'apologizing'. That conversation is going to take some time to go over. Well done!

 		@Wulf: The 'characters emailing dropping players' thing has happened to at least one other person I know of who kinda dropped out of the game. It sounds like she got the same message that aforementioned player did. So I dunno what the PMs are up to, but it is a little odd.

Anyway, I'm fairly certain that William Bricker is Brian Bricker's father and Diana Madden is his mother. Haven't been able to find conclusive proof of this yet, but the ages are right. If anyone catches Bricker around before I do--see if you can get him to talk about his family.

I'd also like to point out:
1997 is the year that Diana Madden died. On February 1st.
1997 is also the year the Brightman Institute came out of retirement, because 1997 is also the year that the Oracle was discovered.

Also, fairly certain the Diana Madden is the Diana in the Hazeltine Report image. Note that she had connections to President Jimmy Carter during his term, and when she fell "ill".

So who really is Diana Madden? And what happened at the Curran with her? I feel like we're spinning in circles all over again.

But I will bet you ten bucks that Jenny also 'died' on February 1st, 1997.

So to sum up the assumptions here (yes, I know..) Given that Diana's name is "the key", and considering her relationship with the Carters, it's not that far fetched to place her as the creator or administrator of this Oracle project/Brightman Institute.

That would actually make sense on a few different levels.. The Oracle would have indirect access to Brian through his mother. Perhaps why he's been writing this omnipotent novel over the last few years?

I received the other apologetic email after I announced that I was leaving the game. The email was sent by Maury Kelvin and included Starr's email address as a reply-to. Here is my PM to classical which includes the email and my reply.

None? Actually? Google is psychedelic, silly rabbit. The data waits in the cloud. A hard rain's a'gonna fall. And so on.

I am skeptical of your assurance that you're not related to anything "Kade" linked to. The Project Moreau story at The Foil Beneath My Hat - http://a08201960a.livejournal.com/ - is an uncanny foreshadowing of some of DeMolay's emails. However, I'll take your word for it.

At least I've been reminded of that great live Lenny Bruce album. You should listen to it. Funny. There are links to the mp3s in the unforum thread.

So, to my twisted way of thinking, the email is IG because it was sent by a character and it includes the email address of a character as a reply-to. FWIW I also think that Kelvin/Starr's "assurance" is disingenuous.

Not sure what to make of any of this.

Looked on Amazon at Bricker's books. Did an search at Amazon.com for the name "Brian Bricker". 3 hits, only one looks pertinent - Fundamentals of Basic Emergency Care. This should be a direct link to one of the pages (865) that contains the name Brian Bricker. The other page is xxiii of the contents (can't figure out how to get a direct link for it yet) - it credits "Section 10: Geriatric Emergencies" to

If you look at that page linked above, you'll see that about half the text has been obliterated, looks like it has been "erased" in Photoshop. Very weird, I've never seen anything like that on Amazon before. You can flip through the pages (hit the "Surprise Me!" link repeatedly, and it will randomly select a page), you can see that the same thing occurs on many of the pages. Weird, but considering the following, I'm hoping there is a reasonable explanation.

Bricker Professional Education, Inc. really exists. This is their website. The Our Team page doesn't list Brian, but does list a Michael and a Heather. Their blog is here but has only 2 entries, 9/3/08 and 10/23/08. Here's at least one listing for BPE I've found
