As for things at work, I posted a new blog a few hours ago. I feel more comfortable about our new arrangement than B, but that's usually par for the course on most things.

Please know how much I appreciate your help and all of the others that are rallying to help us with the cube. The support is beyond compare!

 		I've also been emailing a bit with Cray, pushing her towards this Brandon guy... Seems like his just up and leaving is WAY suspicious, right?

Also, I'm having trouble figuring out where exactly her Dad fits in with this cube... If I remember right, she said this was her Dad's cube... but she found it in the office when they moved in, right?

So was it her dads, or did she say she remembers her dad having one similar?

The new theories don't connect. Maybe I should look at some of my theories from BEFORE the blog. Maybe there's something there.


The code bolded above appears to be a simple substitution. I've managed to work out this much:

 		Looks like it's back online. Guess the cube was auto updating/repairing =)

Almost immediately after, I got a reply to my email from Cray. I'm playing devils advocate, just trying to keep the interaction going.

I saw your tweet about B this morning, and what happened last night. I know you know him way more than any of us digital e-friends ever will but you should know he's been acting... strange. From what I can tell, he's been really into this project and he MIGHT be having a harder time accepting the fate of ei2 than you, and he might be slightly resentful about it (and maybe you). In fact, a hard enough a time to go to drinking and working from home. We both know he's a conspiracy theorist, and that means he's always a little more than on edge, but I'm just afraid that one of these days he's going to crack and either completely disappear or somehow endanger you.

Despite that, I think he's very intelligent, and if he thinks he's found something on the cube, you should probably try to listen to him with an open mind. Even if he seems like he's talking crazy, he might be on to something. Either way, I wouldn't push him any more than you have to. This is all speculation based on how he's been acting recently, but I'd be careful with him. I don't want you having any problems.

2 Cubes now... perhaps we get them together, and solve some of those "network" messages about it not being available....

Didn't someone on the forum mention tin and gold at one point?

Gold original cube, this one looks like it could be tin....

Can't wait to see what it looks like when it gets hooked up!

B is acting strangely.... and suspiciously.

uhhhhhhh... that was sort of my breaking between many exams, working on three different ARG's, and finishing the writing of something like eight thousand lines of code over the past work week. i sort of... had people say things that weren't in context, and it made... everything out of place... people managed to catch a few things and said... oh yeah, we have to... change it somehow D:

 		Because of the repetition, it reminds me of a numbers station transmission. Licolnshire Poacher was a numbers station that used One Time Pad (OTP) cryptography to transmit secret messages. The numbers that composed the messages were always repeated twice.

I'm a little rusty with OTP. I've played around a little using 6289 3502 7852 as the OTP and 6884 3958 6307 as cyphertext. Either I'm REALLY rusty or I'm barking up the wrong tree.

It's funny you say that because Bertram's latest response to me about these numbers asked me: "Did you try asking Yosemite Sam?"

So I don't think this is the wrong tree at all.

 		So I've been having a coded 'chat' with Bertram on his blog. He seems to really want us to crack his number code but I still have no idea what to do. Others can chime in at any time Smile

I would post the key but the symbols mess up the [code] tags and it doesn't make sense otherwise...
