The rusty cube is now running.

And the old cube looks like it will shut itself down in about 17 hours. We only have 6 more puzzles to solve before the grid is completed.

So I kind of thought that the whole Bertram-as-secret-code-freak storyline had kind of been dropped from this game (because, really, what were we getting out of it?), but checking his twitter, I saw that B yesterday sent another tweet to "karmaclimber"

BAH! two puzzles left, guys! one of them shouldn't take all too much longer... the other, not so sure. it doesn't seem like much more is left of faces, the other one seems a little slow, so if anyone if willing to help, we'd be grateful!

I noticed that there is now a command3.php file, which means we may get to interface with the black cube. My guess is this cube is the crackerjack ai??

Well I'm thoroughly confused. Why does B always have to be so frickin' obtuse? Maybe he's leading us to something?

So here's what I did:

I saved the shiny cubes html page to my computer as an html file by right clicking and viewing the source code. Then I looked through the source code and changed the line http://www.electron-innovations.com/cube/command.php to http://www.electron-innovations.com/cube/command3.php. Then I opened the file in my browser (if you try it make sure you enable the active x or it wont work).

So all I get is "hello sailor" unless I enter in my username/pass then I get welcome. I tried it out with just command.php and the same thing happens. I thought at first command3 was just a test but since they both do the same thing, maybe command3 really is cube 3.

My guess is this php code is checking to see who is submitting it and if it is not from their site it wont go through? Maybe someone here is better at getting around this than me.

If not, then I guess we have to somehow find the site that has the form set up to submit to command3. Perhaps B hid it out there on the internets.

From what B said in the post, I tried searching for blog addresses with MMCLXXIV, Horrible Truths, seekers of the truth, 1 REAL truth, Burn the Veil, Black Cube, The Raven has flown.

This is an open message to the PMs of this game, who I hope are reading these forums --

Please give us something to go on that is better than Bertram's usual random bag o' b.s.

Either tell us definitively if the game is over or post again (or something) to let us know if there is actually something to find out there. Now that the EI forums and existing cubes are completely useless, it is going to take a might big psychic jump to read anything out of B's cryptic blog post, assuming that's what we are supposed to do.

I'd like to think this isn't simply giving in the towel. Just like I can usually tell when just a little bit more effort would achieve a solution, I can also tell when I'm banging my head against a wall. This feels like the latter.
