http://01000001.com/ is the binary code for A. I haven't looked up P, U, or S yet.

Update: That's all I could find.

Today we call someone a Janus if they are being two-faced or deceptive.

So it wasn't Chatter4 using Chatter3's name, but rather he was being insulting.

Nice find Spanky Kiddo. I was thinking about an url with the APUS0105 thing but in a more direct manner, like www.apus01-05.com or something, but it didn't produce anything. Let's get the binaries of the other letters now!

Cool. Thanks. You know anything about Karnis?

Another thing after reading http://01000001.com/ (if it is indeed IG): could the device he/she is talking about the one found in Paris?

No idea.

Yeah, I'm not too sure if it's related to this game. I wish I found it through better and more developed ideas (especially since I don't know about PUS01-05) but it does sound like it is IG. "A" was all I could find, though. Does anyone know anything about "Kilroy," "Prophecy," "Betas 4,5, and 6," and a GPS receiver? Confused

about the spanish twitter chat

Not being picky, just a small update/correction to the translation:

""4: @PHPChatUser5 What I am trying to say is, "Si" is not the one who is driving you crazy.""

What i'm trying to say is, "Si" is not the only one who is going crazy

""4: @PHPChatUser5 This is because I'm crazy for saying the following --""

This is why i'm so crazy to tell you ---

""4: @PHPChatUser5 This may be the end for us, for everything, and I know that at least I told you how I feel.""

This may be the end for us, for everything, and I have to know that at least i told you how i feel.

spanish is not my birth language so there might be a better translation, but think everything else is pretty accurate

Somehow I have the feeling that this site is OOG. Sounds like the so-called betas 4,5 and 6 have found another page along their way, not that they have found the beginning. And the use of a GPS and waypoints remembers me (geocacher) of a good multicache Wink

Could 01-05 be the first of May? European Date format is dd-mm-yy.

EDIT:
OOG: For those who haven't heard of geocaching have a look at www.geocaching.com and have fun Wink

hah. Ironically, it is entirely OOG, but was registered by JC Hutchines (who's running his own ARG for a novel of his right now, Personal Effects: Dark Art)
As per this comment from 2005 (scroll down):

APUS:01-05 could also mean Auxiliary Power Unit System, modules 01 to 05, I guess... that could fit-in thematically with space ships and the trek universe.

I think the two most plausible connections to what "APUS:01-05" means are the Apus bird and the Apus constellation.

Apus apus is the Latin species name, or whatever, for a bird whose name in English is the Common Swift. Apparently, they return to their nest every year on May 1st (01/05).

There's also the Apus constellation. It was named by the astronomer Johann Bayer, which is also the name of the man in PHPChatUser5's Twitter account's picture. (It's actually a picture of different Johann Bayer than the astronomer, though; the one pictured is a painter whose full name is Johann Cristoph Bayer.)

Also, a very nice write-up has been posted here, if anyone wants to catch up: http://trekmovie.com/2009/04/20/star-trek-arg-update-4/

okay, so i did the binary conversions of the other letters in APUS myself, out of curiousity, and got this:

A - 01000001 (nothing for .eu and .jp, and .com was already found to be OOG)

P - 01010000 (leads nowhere. tried .com, .eu, and .jp)

U - 01010101 - http://01010101.com/ (this site doesn't look relevant, it appears to be a website for open source content management, according to the page's source. could be anything)

nothing for .eu, but got this for .jp - http://01010101.jp/ (pretty sure this isn't relevant either, it appears to be a japanese website for housing)

S - 01010011 (leads nowhere, like P. same result with all three URL extensions)

since the binaries appear to lead nowhere significant, or at least, relevant, the websites found are all most likely OOG. just pointing that out there in case anyone else stumbles across the same stuff that i did.

The Twitter? I think that's been translated already.
