Boy, there's alot of bitter people out there that were excited and engaged last week.

Here's what I can make of what the Vulcan is saying...

"...our scanners have yet to locate the... ...working together will increase our chance of survival... ...our gratitude to those [creative?]..."

That's all I can make out.

A date has been found in the video: 5-12-09. It is clearly visible in image 355 of the provided zip file.

4.6MB zip of jpgs? ugh, that gnaws at me...

here's what I do for frame captures - get'em all in a folder, then remove all the ones that are either duplicates or have minimal difference.
Even better, only save the ones that have anything unique or interesting in the frame.
Depending on how many are left, I'd either upload them as a set to Flickr (free) or upload them individually to a wiki page, thumbnailed for easy browsing.

Most of those frames are guaranteed to be useless, and the collection could probably be knocked down to at least 1/10 the size... (in this case, far far fewer)

Second...
Just upload the MP3. The ZIP is actually larger than the MP3. Unnecessary compression step...

Thanks, and great work everyone, as always!

So it seems something is going down tomorrow (as per PHPChatUser4's twitter). It makes perfect sense, since the movie premieres friday in the US, and tomorrow in several european countries (Portugal included).

But the date found on the video, 5-12-09, even if it's an american style date (12th may) doesn't match. I had a hunch that could be a site (http://www.5-12-09.com), like 1-18-08.com (cloverfield reference), but there's nothing there.
