Ok after two days of shoddy internet service I am finally back up and running. Got Steghide and think I have figured it out. Testing passwords now. Couldn't get anything with SING OR DIE or SING so if anyone has any other suggestions let me know. Also if someone else has Steghide please check alongside me. This is the first time I've used this and I think I'm doing it right but I'm a gui girl so... you know.

ETA: also tried Dreams Come True and combinations thereof

I'm not sure if it's the background of the image, but it looks like there could be something written in gray behind the last few letters.

Also, this is in the same position as 2001SPACEODYSSEY, right? Maybe that's still related?

Hey Jain, what came of your convo with Donovan?

Also, anyone speak Japanese? I'm looking up yrics for various songs on an album called Sing or Die by Dreams Come True but getting nowhere fast. I speak English and Spanish, not Japanese, Jim!

As a programmer (granted, not a superb one) I'd love to help in this game where I can.

EDIT: Any way this might mean something? http://www.lyrics007.com/Bryan%20Adams%20Lyrics/Here%20I%20Am%20Lyrics.html It's lyrics to a Bryan Adams song. It seems to pick up the "dreams" thing, but maybe that's just a coincidence easily found in terrible love songs.

Got nothing helpful out of my conversation with Donovan tonight. He said his connection was messing up and he might drop out at any moment. We did talk about that Bryan Adams song and I tried some passwords again but got nowhere. Then he was gone.

Logfile looks like a legit log file from a corporate pentest app.

Erm, sorry -- an enterprise-level penetration testing application. They're used to stress-test the security of company servers at large businesses where hiring real people to do the job wouldn't scale well.

Do we know anything about TESLACTX or INF?

How about GPLX? Does that map to anything we know in-game? I haven't read all the chat logs with Donovan yet.

I don't know how much the latest tweets stressing the importance of case-sensitivity (uppercase and lowercase are different) apply now that we've gotten the StegHide password. But "THE END IS NEAR. ACT SOON." seems important.

Umm...big picture, okay.

Is there some way to get the binary outta that image? And if so, does it mean anything?

EDIT: what about the other pictures in the Flickr photostream? Probably insignificant?
