Trailhead: http://www.harpersglobe.com/
It looks like the people who created the lonelygirl15 thing is working with CBS's new murder-mystery show "Harper's Island".

I think that i found the official YouTube account for the online experience, although there isn't much there. On the website, you can enter your email address for updates at the moment.
The show is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, April 9, 2009. Perhaps the website will open then?
So, uh, what do you think?

Well this is not necessarily a trailhead but more of a news story. Harper's Globe will be the universe in which Harper's Island exist. From their comments, if they get a second season (which I really really hope they do) it will be a completely different group of people in a completely different adventure.
If you want to prepare for the premiere go rent "10 Little Indians".

Good idea ndemeter - if u have more time read the book "And Then There Were None" (same concept/different title) by Agatha Christie. I'll probably reread it b4 the premiere... Too much time between now & April 9th!

"10 little indians" and "and then there were none" are actually the same exact story. it actually also went by an even earlier name...but im not sure how racism issues are dealt with on this site so im not going to mention it. you can find it easily if you look though. as societal values towards minority ethnicity have changed through the years, so has the books title.
at any rate. very short and quick to read book. great story.

I am already aware that "10 Little Indians" & "And Then There Were None" are the same... hence the comment (same concept/ different name). If u have read the book & saw the movie, u would know that quite a few things that are in the book are left out of the movie. Personally, I enjoyed the book more.
& yeah, the original title wasn't very pc, but then again it was 1939.

i wasnt trying to be mean or anything like that...im sorry if i offended you.
to me saying that something has the same concept is like 'deep impact' and "Armageddon" have the same concept, but different stories.

Yeah I reread that & it sounded pretty snarky - I should have written "if u read the book and see the movie, u'll see their differences" & I guess I should have said premise instead of concept too - my apologies I'm stuck in the pouring, drenched to the bone rain... Makes me crabby

And we're off...
Got this email today.
Quote:
Harper's Globe is the online companion series to CBS's new mystery event, "Harper's Island" premiering on CBS April 9th.
Watch the Trailer and check out the website here: http://www.harpersglobe.com
The show incorporates videos, photos, and blogs all presented on a social network where you can talk to the characters and participate in the story. The first episode premieres March 18th, but there will be daily content posted to the site starting today and leading up to the launch. It's interactive, engaging, and unlike anything you've experienced before.
Harper's Globe is produced by EQAL, the creators of lonelygirl15 and KateModern, in partnership with CBS.
Thanks,
The Harper's Globe Production Team

EDIT: So sure enough after the spooky trailer we get to meet Robin Matthews that works for the local newspaper, Harpers Globe. And what do you know? She is on Twitter!
Further digging provides us with another IG website: http://www.hometownpressinc.com/
And yes, Robin is amazingly good looking for a "lone reporter on a nearly deserted island" gal. Looking at your Casting Director!

And another one. Credit goes to FH14 from the HG forums. Apparently on the trailer at 0:36 there was a hidden address and he managed to grab a screenshot.
Leads us to http://wpudormdiaries.wordpress.com/ which is Robin's blog when she was in college.

Update today from Robin.
There is not much in terms of discovery. Just this ominus bit:
Quote:
Some of you have asked how I got the job, and how I got here. Truth is, I don't really know. A letter arrived in the mail, I read it, next thing I know I'm on this Island. I was glad for the opportunity, cause I really needed a change.
So it appears that someone picked her and she didn't actually apply for this position. Hm...I smell blood in the water.
