Big O Connection

If you've heard of or seen the anime series Big O, you should know what I'm talking about. Basically, I've noticed a few things related to the anime in this game, and while I always thought it was coincedence, something recent has made me wonder if it's intentional.

First, the original hints. Last week or so there was a ridiculously long post on the PaintOver boards, written entirely in binary. When 'decoded' it turned out to be a huge speech type thing taken more or less right out of the show. The user who posted it also had his name in binary, and when decoded it turned out to be 'Black Forest'. Not a big deal, except that, translated into German, the name is 'Schwartzwald', the name of the character who said the speech on the show (the whole part about it being German for Black Forest was mentioned on the show itself).

Despite that, I didn't pay much mind to it- at the very most, it was from some anime fan posting on the forum, at the very least it was someone who probably found the quote online and thought it seemed 'Matrix-y'. Anyway, today I found the letter in Phillip Gairden's metadex (why exactly pictures of a ripped up letter in a garbage can would be there is beyond me, but) and noticed the signature was from Roger Smith, the main character from the show. Now, between the ridiculously long binary-code post on PaintOver, the name the poster gave, and this, I'm wondering if there's some kind of connection? I know it's probably nothing, but it's still a possible lead, if not a probable one...
