For those of you who say 'it's rubbish' and 'I'm out' because you aren't getting the speedy responses you're hoping for, shame on you *shakes finger* lol.

Seriously though, those of you who've played ARGs before know that sometimes trails start up like this with one small piece of correspondence then suddenly go cold.

The PM could be seeing just how many people got it right before continuing or even already has an idea on how many correct responses S/he would like before going on; something like that.

There are many reasons why a response has yet to occur and considering they said "24 Hours" Tuesday evening, I'm assuming they could just be a little stuck or busy OOG. But I for one will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Since I am the only one who has acutally written "this is rubbish" and "I'm out", I'll guess I will address you directly.

Having played a couple of ARGs myself I have stumbled upon an imploded game or two, and being given 24 hours and then waiting for 48 with absolutely no contact is never a good sign. Of course the PMs could be scouting for new players, however in my experience this usually involves some kind of interaction and less.. well, sitting around.

Best of luck.

I understand the frustration which comes with waiting on a game. - Which is why some of us play 2-3 games at the same time. My comment was more or less tongue-in-cheek although it is a little frustrating to see players not give ARGs time to develop.

I've been playing ARGs for the past 3-4yrs and I know how stale some of them -appear- to get but then they change shift and come to life. Besides the PM could have just chosen the wrong time to start his/her game and found they're to be busy over the next 72hrs... Who're we to judge?

One of the first ARGs I PMed started with a myriad of conversation not all connected to the ARG with my players to which I suddenly fizzled out for a good couple of weeks before springing more on them... Sometimes it isn't a bad sign either.

I did. I sent an email asking what Jack is thinking about the sequence 4 8 15 16 23 42, because it was the first thing, that came into my mind, when I heard LOST and a sequence of numbers. I also asked him, what he thinks about "variables" because the episoded aired last week is named "the variables" and I asked him if "THE OTHERS" (one group of people in LOST for those, who do not watch the serie) would call this sequence the variables. But so far I got no answer.

"Nevertheless, the people who live in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; and moreover, we saw the descendants of Anak there. (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim).

this really has nothing to do with this just saw this in my search and reminded me of the good old ARG days of the Occular effect Crying or Very sad

MAN I loved that ARG!!!!

Just reading through this thread but HAD to comment here...The Ocular Effect was my very first ARG. It's what brought me here. (I still want to know what happened to Faith!!!!!)

Anyway, back to reading the thread....

Edit: Another "just gotta say it:" So the right number is "Lucky 5."

I will continue following this. Now I'm curious to see where it goes.
