Ok, I came across this which apparently explains the maths behind the Numb3rs episode "The Fifth Man".

http://numb3rs.wolfram.com/520/

I'm having a look through the info now to see if there's anything there that could be of any help to us with regards to our number sequence.

That's ridiculous, it's not even funny.
You missed 37 (in a row?) and 23 (FNORD!) Razz

You still play, Mac?

Yes, yes I do. Planning to build up a stash of much-needed food and drinks before I go Hardcore, so that I can attempt a speed run afterwards Smile

I comprehend the questions you ask, but I have no context for them, so I doubt my answers are the ones you are looking for.

So much win in this post. KoL, the good ol' days. Too bad I stopped playing.

Sent an email to illriddleyouthis earlier asking if the irememberyou image was of John Demjanjuk and got this in reply:

Quote:
"We remain confident that John Demjanjuk will be deported and finally face the bar of justice for the unspeakable crimes he committed during the Second World War," said Rabbi Marvin Hier, of the Wiesenthal Centre. "But we're not sure you're getting the point. No names, more numbers."

Well, the man you have written on obviously holds the key as well as the

And his reply was simply:

I hold that.

By the way, I just got this reply from Your Riddles:

Make context.
Make more poetry, too.

So maybe what we're looking for is a poem?

Okay, I got one reply to two guesses. The last was the 'stars on flag' with some supporting guesses, info. But the quoted text was the 'retrograde trajectory of 13...'

Think of those hills, the rises and falls.

What doors do they unlock, do you think?

Just for completeness, these are the numbers I sent...

13, 16, 25, 26, 22, 19, 43, 40, 53, 28

I got it too, and had a hunch there was some tv-series called "Numb3rs", but didn't make the connection in time. Sent:

Quote:
John Cairncross was the fifth man. Do you like spies?

to which s/he replied:

Quote:
I adore spies.

So, err.. Move along, nothing to see. Embarassed

Man, rises and falls makes me think of that trick for remembering which months have how many days, where you use the knuckles on your hand. Never could remember that one.

The numbers also remind me of one of those puzzles like where the numbers and letters stand for things like 52 weeks in a year, 26 letters in the alphabet etc.

And NOW the reply to the flag guess.

me wrote:

The fifth man would be Roger Sherman.(Committee of Five). And the
sacred number would be One (E Pluribus Unum).

Oh, one. All is one. But those numbers are not mine. Though some might be.

It seems or email sender is named Jack. With JL photography being the issimple.com site I am thinking maybe that isn't a wrong path.

Yes, it does.

Not really anything important, I guess just stating the facts.
