I believe that the picture is a closeup of the Mayan Calendar, and that somehow 2012 is all connected to this "Mosaic"

 		The Mosaic Collective is an online experience that will unfold leading up to the premiere of ABC's FlashForward on Thursday September 24th at 8/7c.

Looks like we have 20 days to figure this out...


The mayan calendar theory ties in- it's called advent calendar and the 2012 thing is supposed to happen 23/24 Dec

 		I'm not so sure that the picture is the advent calendar. My take on the term is of a description of how this puzzle is designed. Instead of your hand opening each square, the correct puzzle solution does. The countdown may be just that we are heading for the series premiere and also more importantly that the clues are given out in timed stages. Time will of course tell. Very Happy

South Sandwich Islands is Brittish, as is the UK. Fiji used to be Brittish. No links between this, Iceland and Russia.

Wait. All were reformed. All but Russia are Islands.
