Sapagoo, it sure does look like SALT would be a good candidate. Let's hope that the puppetmasters continue to lag the padlocks behind the videos. It is then a more linear sequence and improves the experience by allowing us to pause and consider the possible inputs like you are doing. I have been trying to solve the photo by looking for clues around SLC but so far nothing pops up.

And SALT it is. First word entered did the trick. This gives us the following puzzle for box #7:

Wow. Clicking on it opens a PDF file. It is really a puzzle, literally. Cool

I've been trying to play along. I thought I was all caught up, assuming we're still lookin at this page http://truthhack.com/encrypted/site/index.php

yesterday I had 6 unlocked squares, but today right now 4 solid padlocks and only 3 uncovered "advent" squares. Did i miss a step? How do I activate the locks? They are not clickable, and they have no word displayed.

For now, i'll have a look at the above colored puzzle. Thank you for posting it here, along with the other posted puzzles. Sometimes it's the only way a lurker can keep up. In the future, could you also post a direct link to each puzzle page? I lost the links to the older puzzles when I submitted the answer words.

Just submit the keywords one more time.

Thank you. I thought I had tried that, but I guess I needed to start from the beginning and do them in a particular order.

So the current puzzle is at http://truthhack.com/encrypted/site/puzzle_07_iumtsbalqpjx.html

I'm stumped! Oh, i think the image posted above is of little use without the PDF to go with it.

The answer for puzzle seven is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
MELT
.

The method to solve is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
cut out the 4x4 pattern and fold as if it was a "cootie catcher." Then fold to create the pattern that will reveal the letter. The first pattern of each pair is the front and the letter will be shown on the back, which is the second pattern in the pair.

The photo with this new revealed piece does not really add much of a clue to the solution. I thought it would be much as it is,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
with a smooth and slightly raised & highlighted "cheek."

We might find out that it is a
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
closeup of a 'knight' chess piece. Since I discovered today that Bobby Fischer was a citizen of Iceland (dual U.S. really) and he died in Reykjavik last year (reference to puzzle #6)
, this has haunted me of it being connected.

Perhaps a loosely related factoid is that the puzzle #6 solution
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
(EIGHT)
could also be connected to
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
chess, as a board has eight squares on a side
.

Because FlashForward will include mystical content in its mythology (like Lost), I'll include here that
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Bobby Fischer died at age 64
. You can figure out what I caught from that trivia all too easily. Shocked Silly

The Solution to our puzzle

Just to build on my new theory, consider this.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
David S. Goyer had a little something to do with a "Dark Knight" I'd say, no?
Episode two is called "White to Play."
Episode eight is called "Rules of the Game."
And David also has been quoted as saying that the first seven episodes will "move the chess pieces onto the board."

There might be a variation on this theme, but I should not be missing it by much.

Now how am I doing? The two options are as follows:
Dunno
Rock On

Although it may not be necessary to link up the keywords into context, I did locate a 10 year old chess prodigy on his way to Grand Master. Kayden Troff. He lives in Utah and won a prestigious fistful of trophies. Yes, some of his victories have been in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The kid looks like he is going places. To rest all of our minds with a fun bit of distraction, please allow me to provide a link to relax for a few minutes as Kayden explains the game of chess. It's quite amazing that Kayden started at three years of age. It's been awhile since I've even played, but now I want to make some time for it again. Smile

As far as the keyword
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
COMPANY
, here is a business website that tells more about amazing Kayden.

I'm glad to see someone else here. I've been all by myself. It was scary. Hee.

Well, we wait for two more puzzles and then the big reveal I guess. Let's see if someone can answer my "checkmate" challenge and come up with a different endgame for this ARG. The "flat cootie catcher" puzzle was fun. You should try it.
