Abby's Story

The JTM site has posted a new video clip called "Abby's Story."

So far, no lock is up at TH/E.

Although not as important as Abby's Story (no offense Oscar, hee), there is a new clip up at TH, "Edition #9 Cracking the Case."

words

Cool

I tried the really obvious words, home and late form abbie's story on the puzzle...no luck. What words did you use Mosaic Hyde?
I assume #10 video from Oscar is going to be the answer to the puzzle and it's significance as stated by Oscar in #9.

It's been crazy. Work priorities have taken over my life. My husband's the same way. Sometimes we don't see each other all week. Dan was right. He said we deserved a vacation so we could spend some quality time together. He wanted to go skiing. I've never been skiing - I've never felt the pull to, but he wanted to go. He was so cute. He made a whole presentation. He sat me down for a power point with a chocolate cupcake and a glass of wine - and just ... sold me on the "adventure trip of a lifetime". Skiing somewhere in the European alps - near the "roof of the world". I love going to Hawaii - but he wanted to try something adventurous. But now - after the FlashForward -

I was walking a glacier - I was in a party of six people. Dan wasn't there. I didn't know any of the people and none of them spoke English. I was tired, I don't know about the others, and I think we were lost. The people - they were all speaking French.

What were we doing there? Where was Dan? We were all roped together - I don't know if that was some kind of safety precaution. It was frightening. I remember feeling panic. I think we were in a pretty bad situation.
We cancelled the vacation. We want to keep close to home. Right now, a "staycation" watching old movies is my idea of a great time. Long as we're together.

If she wants to know where Dan was - shouldn't she just ask him what his flashforward was about?

Abby's Story

For some funny reason I'm focused on "Cupcake." Another one that "speaks" to me is "Rope." Since we now know from the Executive Producer's reply to me at RPR that the keywords are indeed series canon, TIME is a no-brainer to try early. A friend of mine was looking at the note with the words "HOME LATE" that Abby showed us, as a possibility.

Sagapoo, regarding your very excellent spotting of a possible mistake in the "script", what if she DID ask him and he saw nothing (was dead, as Demetri Now fears). That might be the main reason that she wants to stay home. It may not be her fear of being with French climbers hanging onto a rope as much as it is the fear that she will lose her husband.

I am guessing the word will be either GLACIER CHOCOLATE or CUPCAKE

If you go to the JTM site, and search the word GLACIER in Patterns, you get linked to Gabrielle from Chamonix, France who says: "I'm on a GLACIER with strangers. No English. I think we're lost. Trying not to think about it. In bed with CUPCAKE and hot CHOCOLATE"

Seems like an odd coincidence.

Notice that the Stories from the Mosaic are now from 3 people whose names start with A and 3 whose names start with E...so here's betting the final story will be from a J. There are 4 guys and 4 gals up so far, so the gender is up for grabs.

Just for fun:
Jennifer
Joy / Joyce
Julie / Julia
Jessica

Jerry
Jack
Jim
Jeremy
John

...and of course lots of other options if you take other cultures into account (and I'm sure I'm missing lots from the cultures of the above names, too, heh Smile).

Edit: ...aaaaand I can view the TH vblog #8 now, no copyright restrictions, hooray. #9 is now copyrighted, but at least now I know from personal experience that I can just wait.

Yikes...breakthrough "cupcake" works. Just of note there was no lock on this morning...now there is. Cupcake works on the bottom middle block.
Click on it and you get a clef note. Click on that and you get a music puzzle.
Seems to be the same repeating chords...calling all music majors..what are the notes? No clue here.

Excellent work Summer Fun. The first word I put in was CUPCAKE and then came here immediately. Let's see what ASimulacraOfAlex comes up with. Fun stuff.

I wonder if you have to adjust the frequency and tempo. Still trying to understand what else to do. Been working with Mosaic Hyde on this and the other puzzles. Also, anyone figure out HOW those color boxes means (spoiler ahead)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
CHARRED?

On the music...maybe the note(letters) mean some kind of pattern.

Could it be morse code?

It sounds something like this:

Code:
              .      -
          -    .        -
    -      .    -.     .   -
   .   ..                 .
-                 - .        ..
