I have some time right now, so I'll drop over and poke about a bit. I'll probably start by first looking at other ARG entries to try to conform to any existing methodology/template. I'd guess it should be uncoupled from any particular player's perspective but I do have the rare situation of working with the "father" of ARGs (one degree of sep.), Jordan Weisman, back in the early 1990's. I caught his name in just about the first sentence describing the history of ARGs on a link off of thebruce's site and got that "small world" sensation. I think reality can be just as surreal as alternate reality. Shocked

Summer, consider what's up currently to be a "rough text" draft, without fancy graphics added (don't know how yet). But it's a start. You, Apo or others with the background on the ARG history can revise/extend what I've started.

I'm boring into the series canon and treating it like an ARG of sorts and have found something quite interesting, using non-spoiler content. It's all spec of mine but seems to work all too well.

I invite any here curious on what I've come up with re: the series to go either to RPR or http://z6.invisionfree.com/Flash_Forward_Mosaic/index.php?

Remember to sidestep ARG-related topics for this, as this is to be found in the theories sections. Let's just say that what I've discovered re: FF mythology underpinnings also can be linked to a core ARG term that is at the root stalk of the ARG community itself. Hint: the term was used in The Matrix. The underpinning of the series uses a first-cousin of sorts, as it serves the same purpose. Plus, it also uses (I believe) the critter that would form the item in The Matrix and it itself is also in The Matrix.

Has there been a unanimous decision if this is finished or just waiting for the next stage? I just finished the encrypted file and now things seem to be on hold. I've been checking Truth Hack and JTM, no updates. Followed the discussion, but everyone seems to be undecided.

Well some of us are betting it's a break in the ARG. My own opinion is that ABC will suspend the ARG to gain audience share. Once that is established I think we will find ourselves back in the game. At any rate right now it's just pulling everything together

Sorry 2nd post...new info. There are two new What Did You See images on the ABC Flash site. They appear just before Watch with the World. Looks like newspapers or some kind of document.

Caught it later...it's the mosaic 108 as seen on the buletin board.

My current feeling is that the trail is at an end. That doesn't mean that I won't be keeping vigil if something else pops up for investigation.

Besides reverse-engineering the puzzles that had forced solves, I might be able to entertain also with this find I broke open on the second episode (the one that deals with this ARG, White to Play). It seems that if this is a hint of the detail the PTB are placing into the series, I think there will be a lot of material for beasting.

My discovery starts with my curiosity of whether the chess game on the monitor has any tales to tell:



I'm still tweaking my tale over on the site I help with before I offer it up at RPR for the masses, but those here can see what I've uncovered. My suggestion would be that the HIVE MIND is not finished with the FlashForward series despite what I've just said regarding the current game.

EDIT: I got scooped at RPR several days ago (Oct. 2) due to getting lost in the Lewis Carroll "Alice Wond. / Looking-Glass" underpinning, but kudos to Apo for following up on a lead over there.

Also for clarification, I hope the above is not "trout material" but I do feel it is connected to how the ARG is folded into the second episode of White to Play and how at the bottom of what I (and others like Apo here) have found is a connection to the foundation history of the Alternate Reality Game subject itself. I think it's a tip-o-the-hat from the PTB/PMs.

I still have nothing to offer on the previous gaps in the central ARG played here.

As to those keywords at ABC, they might be referring to eigher of these central characters- Noh (on March 15, 2010) or Benford (on April 29, 2010).

And no, I don't think it has to do with crows... Wink

I'd sure like to see solves for:

utah/charred (7 colors) described as "box 2" but in upper right,
company/eight (five cities) described as "box 5" (middle of 3rd column),
cupcake/eye (synthesizer + clap music) "box 7" (bottom of second column)

When I have the time, I'm going to still have a try at them. Bang Head
