Something called "Tornado Outbreak". Or, given the "5" reference, it could be Metal Gear Solid 5 (which has been titled "NEXT"), which is supposed to come out soon as well. I'm hoping for MG5 myself.

There is much more than this article, but that's where the "NEXT" reference comes from. All signs point to a "visual release" before the E3 conference. Talk so far is that the reveal is supposed to happen "sometime in April or May". This fits into the timeline so far.

Well the initial teaser site for MGS5 (if that's what it is) said "A Next Metal Gear is..." and then showed what was either the Xbox 360's ring of lights (not red!) or a DS power button. It was kinda hard to tell.

Here's hoping MGS comes to 360!

I believe MGS4 was the last to include that set of characters not that there wouldnt be related games.

I hope its not Xbox as ive got a ps3! but whatever i'll follow

Edit: you sure that the green ring is not from metal gear touch for the ipod?

The countdown finished, and after insane server crashage they started up a new counter with 120 more hours, the storm is definitely here, and different characters are flashing now.

Theres definitely a 5 and a 3, but also an E and a backwards 9? Maybe its some crazy game of pipe dream or something.

Is there a trailhead for this?

Well, the E3 would stand for the E3 gaming conference, which is being held June 2-4.

That's more than 120 hours away though... so who knows if the countdown will start up again... meh.
