Update: The "existence.htm" page is diffenent now.

1) There is an intriguing message included with The Hanso certificate
2) It hyperlinks to a page (waste.htm) titled there's a light in the darkness
3) There are 5 hieroglyphs on it spelling "waste"
4) Four have Iliad passages. with red letters etc.
5) The middle symbol links back to The 8th Spoke

I'm leaving the "dotted" letters for a bit Coffee yet the "red" letters are T T F N B H A S O O containing the word Hanso
**flashback to Johny on the DJDan intros**

In addition to the red letters and the ones with dots under them, there are lighter letters (hope I caught all of them in sleep-deprived state--please double check these):
mene from the emelus page
mhnau from the heavenwards page
uevineersgatn from the achilles page
eidmento from the agamemnon page

<---- aka lazy brown dog who should not spell check anyone yet sure they're absolutely correct. Laughing

Instincts saying that the "byblos" symbol linking back to The 8th Spoke isn't a reffy to the Phoenician city which exported papyrus. More likely it refers to the word biblios meaning "book" and Bible.

Maybe there's a correlation between the funky letters and the Spokers "Bi-Monthly Book Club" selections? *ITRW work calls*

EDIT: Unsure which letters were used yet they're further along with this connection on the WISH? blog comments.

The four book club books are referenced in the gray letters in the four pages of text linked from waste.htm.

Marygold (Props) in the WISH? Blog Comments posted This Link containing a msg from Aidoneus re the "letters" usage:
Aidoneus wrote:
this isn't where you need to be.
but since you've been working so hard, you deserve a nudge:
there is a light in the darkness.
you have everything you need.
down is across, while dots are the details.
red can be read readily, but not without some counting

"Light" links back to The 8thSpoke and "Darkness" to waste.htm. More thoughts on the blog comments

EDIT: All I've noticed is that each of the "dotted letters" (KMUOBRHSOOM) are contained in the header Bi-Monthly Book Club

New discovery on the blog: http://www.the8thspoke.co.cc/disintegrate.htm

The source code reveals that the image is called rouge (red) and it includes the phrase "something's missing".

**throwing away scraps of paper littered with letters & giving props to bloggymama**
Pretty sure what's missing is my advanced degree in algorithms and/or Sudoku puzzles. Laughing

Laughing Me too!

Unfortunately I'm stuck in work and can't really spend too much time on this until later (just when the US players get up Rolling Eyes)

Sad

RE email:aidoneus.unseen@gmail.com

The address with an author's typo was deciphered "by subtracting 13" from certain Roman Numerals. Know that ROT13 gives the same result. (yaha, I was toooooooo rottin' slow).

These two docs, one mentioning DJDan, should be read: Black Rock and Aletheia

It's a shame that so much is going on over there with only updates being posted here. I guess that comes with the territory (as the game is being orchestrated from a blog) but it seemed more fun in previous games because the 'community spirit' is naturally better on here.

Oh well, c'est la vie.

DrB, you must have been reading my mind. I just posted on the blog, suggesting that people start coming over here instead. Hopefully I can convince them, since it's a lot more sense to use a discussion forum, rather than very limiting blog comments....
